What's your Chinese order?

Usually we go for lemon chicken and crispy chilli beef. What's your order? I really fancy Chinese take away for dinner tonight. I think I might go for a few starters instead of a main- hot and sour soup, and yuk sung.

Chicken fried rice,chips and king prawn in black bean sauce

Quarter crispy duck
Salt/pepper/chilli/garlic chicken wings
Sweet and sour chicken balls
Sweet and sour sauce
Prawn crackers

Oh and egg fried rice, don't know how I managed to miss that off 🤦🏻‍♀️

Prawn crispy noodles, vegetable dumplings

Crispy duck is nice too

@Dementedswan - Yep never had one before in my life and I’m 31. It’s just never appealed to me

Chicken chow mein, mixed meat curry, special fried rice and some hot smoked chicken. Probably some duck spring rolls too.

DC like chicken satay and dd1 likes beef fried rice

I don't think I've ever had a Chinese takeaway....

Shared with DH I would kill a man for it.

@FruitLoopzz whats your takeaway of choice? I do prefer a curry. DH prefers Chinese so we alternate.. not very often tho. So it's a treat when we do.

If we go to the other Chinese then we might change it up and order pork belly and barbecue bao buns, maybe vegetable gyoza as well.

We have a local buffet Chinese and they do the most heavenly salt and pepper hash browns. Droooool

From the local takeaway I like salt and pepper tofu with vegetable fried rice

I've never had salt and pepper chips and disappointed that our local Chinese restaurant doesn't do them, really wanted to try them after all the recommendations on Mumsnet.

My usual order is crispy chilli beef and Singapore chow mien. We live rurally and hard to get a good Chinese - years ago I would do a 50 mile round trip to pick up a takeaway .

Does anyone know what would be good with salt and pepper shredded chicken!?

We have a new local chinese and I like the sound of this. I’ve googled and in internet photos it doesn’t seem like it comes with a sauce? So if it’s just dry, battered chicken what should I have with it? Do I get a separate sauce?

Salt and spicy rips, spring rolls, prawn crackers, chow mein Singapore style, chicken fried rice (DD), sweet and sour chicken (DH), fried rice (DH), spicy chips, carton of gravy, hot and sour soup.

It depends what I'm in the mood for but it's usually one of the following:

Yung chow fried rice
Beef curry with chips
Duck and cashew nuts with chips
Special chow mein
Sweet and sour chicken balls but changing the sweet and sour sauce to curry sauce
King prawn satay with fried rice

Sometimes won tons, spring rolls or prawn toasts on the side if I'm really hungry. I can't stand salt and pepper chips though.

DH always has a chicken chow mein and DD2 always has chicken balls with no sauce. DD1 swaps between barbecue ribs and chicken chow mein.

I have a mixed appetiser platter and an extra portion of crispy seaweed.

DH - roast pork chow mein and mushroom foo yung

DS1 - sweet and sour pork balls and egg fried rice

DS2 - Kung Po Chicken and egg fried rice

Obviously prawn crackers...
