I know there will be a lot of you out there holding Nanzanin in your thoughts today as she is due back in court. Let’s all hope (and pray, if that’s your thing) for the right outcome.

So sad that she's in court again. She needs to be home back in the UK, with her family and allowed to heal. Enough is enough.

Thinking of you & your family NazaninFlowers

NeedToKnow101 · 14/03/2021 08:35

I think about her loads, and so, so hope that she is freed today.

vinoandbrie · 14/03/2021 08:36

Thinking of Nazanin, Richard and Gabriella today.

TanteRose · 14/03/2021 08:36

Thinking of Nazanin today Flowers

ZeldaPrincessOfHyrule · 14/03/2021 08:41

Desperately hoping for the right outcome here, but the realistic side of me can't see it happening. It's appalling, what she's going through is horrific.

Spudlet · 14/03/2021 08:45

Thinking of her and her family. What they’re all going through is an utter nightmare. It’s awful. Flowers

WillowSummerSloth · 14/03/2021 08:48

Also thinking of her. What she's been through is unimaginable. Daffodil

adviceseekingnamechanger · 14/03/2021 08:50

Her story is horrific. I'm thinking of her and her family today and hope hope hope she is allowed to return to the U.K. immediately.

NuclearDH · 14/03/2021 08:51

This is such a heartbreaking case. Really hoping for a positive outcome.

CatBiscuits · 14/03/2021 09:02

Nazanin and her family are often in my thoughts. The medical report that was released recently made me so angry, the poor woman's mental and physical health has been destroyed by this ordeal, not to mention the impact it must be having on her husband and daughter.

They have been completely failed by the British government particularly Boris and the other Foreign Secretaries.

Hoping so much that she can get through today and come home to her husband and Gabriella as soon as possible.

HappydaysArehere · 14/03/2021 09:02

Boris Johnson was Foreign Secretary when his lack of attention to his brief ensured Iran could pursue their agenda to get 400 million back off the UK government for not supplying tanks etc. The UK has done nothing for that poor woman and her husband certainly appears to know that. Only hope that the possibility of some fences being mended by Biden will mean that Iran might want to show itself in a better light and make a show of releasing her. Only hope and pray so.I

mumwon · 14/03/2021 09:10

didn't Boris say something stupid like she was working for our government?

CateTown · 14/03/2021 09:15

I don't know how she is still functioning. I would be broken by all of this. She is amazing, her whole family are amazing

They are and I hope they are re-united soon. Richard is utterly devoted to her, I don't know where he gets his strength from.

Spudlet · 14/03/2021 09:24

Johnson said that she was ‘teaching people journalism’, when she actually was visiting her family. The Iranians jumped all over that and said it showed she was engaging in propaganda against the Iranian regime. Angry

TokyoSushi · 14/03/2021 09:26

Recently tweeted by Tulip Siddiq (who has done a far better job for Nazanin than anybody else in government) I'm not hopeful Sad

UPDATE: I can confirm that Nazanin appeared in court this morning and was tried on new charges of “propaganda against Iran”.

No verdict was given but it should be delivered within a week.

#FreeNazanin

babyinthacorner · 14/03/2021 09:28

Hoping against hope she’s released soon. I work in the London borough she’s from so it’s often at the forefront of my mind. Poor woman.
Boris Johnson and the British Embassy in Iran are a disgrace.

flossletsfloss · 14/03/2021 09:29

I too am thinking of Nazanin today Daffodiland praying.

Hmmph · 14/03/2021 09:31

Poor Nazanin and her poor husband and daughter. Shocking that our Embassy declined to attend. She has be completely let down yet again by our country.

saracorona · 14/03/2021 09:32

I hope Iran is doing this as a last show of power and then releases her mainly because they can. She looks intelligent and strong, I don't how she has survived the suffocating oppression. Fingers crossed and watching the news throughout the day.

ramonac · 14/03/2021 09:44

I also think about her and it breaks my heart. Boris should be ashamed of his part, though I doubt he cares. Sending all my positive thoughts and prayers.

GertiMJN · 14/03/2021 09:48

UPDATE: I can confirm that Nazanin appeared in court this morning and was tried on new charges of “propaganda against Iran”.

This makes me feel sick. I cannot imagine what Nazanin and her family are feeling. Sad
When will our govt do something!

theconstantinoplegardener · 14/03/2021 09:55

Praying for Nazanin here too. I feel desperately sorry for her and her family; they have lost so much already. Even if she's released, there's still a mountain to climb ahead of her in terms of recovering from the psychological trauma she's suffered, re-establishing a relationship with her husband, getting to know her little daughter. It's so hard. I am thinking of her all the time and hoping that the judge is merciful.

NeedToKnow101 · 14/03/2021 10:03

Can't believe the Embassy declined to attend! Fucking hell.
