Anyone else planning a 4 week blitz from tomorrow?! πŸ‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ‘ŸπŸ§˜πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

I live with my DH and have been working from home throughout. I don’t really leave the house apart from a walk to the park or the corner shop.

I haven’t seen my friends since last August and haven’t seen my family since last September.

Weirdly, I haven’t put on any weight in the past year, but I have a killer sweet tooth and my BMI is 29.9.

I’m planning to meet my parents for a walk in the park on the 29th March and then see my friends in April, so that gives me four weeks to blitz my diet and get some daily workouts in! πŸ’ͺ🏻

I’d love to lose half a stone. Anyone else?!

Me! I have stone to lose to get back to healthy BMI and 2-2.5 to get back to my happy weight. I split my work trousers recently and at home I’m living in yoga pants but not actually doing much yoga. If you can all give me a kick up my sizeable rear now and then I promise to return the favour Grin

I’ve meal planned, prepped some food for work, and scheduled in some exercise for the week so ready to start tomorrow.

pandora206 · 28/02/2021 23:59

I'm going to hop on too. I did really well at the start of lockdown last year, took lots of exercise, yoga on YouTube etc. but over winter everything has slipped and I'm a stone+ heavier than I was. I'm dreading trying on my jeans as I know they won't fit. I'm sure I have SAD as I've been lacking in energy and motivation since about November, so spring is really welcome.

ginandwineandbaileys · 01/03/2021 01:27

I've only put on a few pounds, but I tried on clothes from last summer, most of which I didn't get a chance to wear, or I just didn't want to wear things with a proper waistband. I could wriggle I to them, but breathing wasn't comfortable, and sitting was strained for sure.
I've made a vague plan to start intermittent fasting, especially when the children are back at school and I won't be tempted by mid or I get tea and a small choice hobnob, or a small wine since I'm not driving. Things have gotten a bit out of hand

NaeBor · 01/03/2021 01:57

I'm in!

I think I have about a stone to lose. I've been living in "loungewear" and recently put jeans on to do the school run (am in Scotland) AND THEY DID NOT FIT!!!

Can just about get them over my thighs, but my stomach and hips are where all the weight has gone.

I'm going to do keto, 16:8, 10k steps a day, runs a few times a week and lift some weights on my lunch break.

Heading to the shops tomorrow morning so I'll stock up on protein and fat.

Day 1 Weight 9st 11.6lbs

I don't want to get to 10st Sad which would be my heaviest non-pregnancy weight in 28 years.

Lockdownbear · 01/03/2021 02:07

I'm up for trying. I was up for a sugar free lent but failed at the first hurdle. Not helped by two birthdays in the first week.

New month starting on a Monday- I have to try.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 01/03/2021 02:20

Yes- have a mix of baby weight and lock down weight to shift. I need to keep thinking, months with nothing open, I’ll be damed if when they do I only fit into 3 items of stretchy leggings. Sending DH to the shops tomorrow with a very healthy list. .

Shopaholic100 · 01/03/2021 03:05

Anyone else found this last lockdown really difficult for weight loss? The cold weather has made me ravenously hungry and not want to do any outdoor exercise. Previous lockdowns I walked a lot and didn’t have as many takeaways. Definitely starting a detox from tomorrow, I refuse to buy bigger clothes.

WhataMissMap · 01/03/2021 03:23

I’m aiming to kick start a more healthy eating and exercise regime from tomorrow too.
I decided to do this starting in January, but the weather was so awful and the news so depressing that some days I didn’t exercise at all and I fell off the wagon too!Blush
So I’m in from tomorrow. Healthy eating, no alcohol and 10,000 steps a day please for March.
Hopefully I will lose half a stone. ( I need to lose 1 to 2 stone but I’m peri menopause and I know it takes me longer and is harder work to shift the weight these days). If I set a realistic target I won’t get disillusioned- hopefully.

CanIKeepGoingForever · 01/03/2021 04:11

Im going to join this thread ! Creeping waistline for 3months plus minimal excercise and none of my clothes fit! IF and low carb and 10,000 steps a day and a lot of dancing in the kitchen 😁

NaeBor · 01/03/2021 04:45

Does anyone else have fitbit premium and fancy doing some challenges?

I just signed up so I'm no expert, but maybe a bit of healthy competition could be fun / motivation Smile

OliviaBensonsEyebrow · 01/03/2021 05:11

Can I join please?

I would like to lose 10lbs in 10 weeks. Plan is to cut back on the junk / comfort food and up the exercise.

I'm going to give up booze for March too.

Yes, absolutely. Hoping I will feel more motivated now that spring is in the air.

I'm going to make sure biscuits and crisps are not featured as a main food group

Grin

Same!

Really, I thought they were part of my 5 a day!πŸ˜€
recluse · 01/03/2021 07:05

I’m in Smile.

Like a pp I am not going to weigh myself either - too depressing. Am mainly going to cut out most of the sweet stuff I eat and cheese.

BonesJones · 01/03/2021 07:13

Yeah go on, I'll join. I've been exercising fairly hard for a few weeks but not much structure to it and I keep having slip days where I eat crap. So I'd like to cement the on off aspect of diet, fat loss, getting nice and muscly and strong. The house has gone to shit and I have little motivation to stay on top of it. Sleep...getting better, especially since youngest is back at school, but could do better! I'm finding it hard to get up in the mornings!

waterlilliess · 01/03/2021 07:21

I'll join please! Have gained a stone since the first lockdown and had a bit to lose anyway. So now my goal is 21 pounds by the 12th April when things start to reopen and I need to wear clothes with waistbands!

Have been counting calories for a few days, my problem isn't losing the weight but maintaining the loss. Would love to gain insight into keeping weight off for more than a month instead of the constant yo-yoing I usually end up doing! I've been reading Paul McKenna to try to change my mindset around food and stop self-sabotaging.

WaltzingBetty · 01/03/2021 07:22

I'm running a mile/day.
Which is almost nothing.

But I'm hoping that by having a small target I'll build a no-pressure daily habit. And once I'm actually out and running I may well run further

SlothWithACloth · 01/03/2021 07:34

Oh me too! I look much frumpier since the last time people saw me socially. I’ve put on weight, hair is dry and horrible and my skin looks rubbish.
I’m doing an internal (diet) blitz and an external (toiletries, moisturising etc) blitz.
I’m planning on fasting, lots of fruit and veg, no bread or sugar during the week and drinking lots of water.
I’d like to run but I’ll wait till I’ve lost a few lbs to save my joints!

kitschplease · 01/03/2021 07:34

Me please! I want to lose a couple of inches so my clothes fit better. Have some new trainers arriving today as I want to start running again (I stopped over winter) and have decided on a no-booze March, and no eating after 6pm to avoid snacking.

AlwaysTimeForWine · 01/03/2021 07:34
@AlwaysTimeForWine the peri menopause really does mess with weight loss, our body's are just clinging on! I'm the same since January and nothing..
It's awful isn't it.
I'm 44 this year and so wasn't expecting to see many changes yet. But it's odd little things - I'll suddenly miss a period, and a few nights in a row I'll wake up streaming with sweat, and all my weight has gone on my tummy, and nothing is shifting.

On their own I could ignore them but when I put them all together they are really having an affect.

I can't only blame peri-menopause though! Wine and biscuits are also a culprit!

AlwaysTimeForWine · 01/03/2021 07:37

YES!!

In the last lockdown the weather was lovely and so we were outdoors a lot more. This time around I've wanted to hibernate and eat cake.

I also think my resilience for doing Lockdown again is much lower and I've found it much harder!

golddustwomen · 01/03/2021 07:45

Me too please !!! I keep stopping and starting but really want to stick with it this time. I'm a snacker and my sweet tooth is out of control. 1 biscuit leads to 5, a piece of cake is half a cake etc. I would like to spend summer confident and not hiding my legs!

MrsReacher85 · 01/03/2021 08:03

I probably won’t post much, but I’m in! I’ve managed to workout fairly consistently though lockdown, but my diet is terrible. A 4 week reset sounds perfect.

GemmeFatale · 01/03/2021 08:06

Im in. I don’t actually own a set of scales but I’d like to drop two dress sizes. I’d accept one size for the moment though.
