My mum died today

Unexpectedly, at 52. I came home from work to find multiple ambulance crews going her cpr on our driveway.

I don't even know where to start, how to keep myself together, to look after my dad, to live without her.

I just needed to write it down, I'm still in shock

I'm so sorry to hear this. Nothing could have prepared you for this and please make sure you take time to grieve. A sudden loss is so hard to comprehend. Take time for yourself and your family. Thinking of you and sending love.

Good god, what a horrible shock for you, tigerbread20, I am so sorry. She was so young.

Please keep on talking here, if you want to. I know it sometimes helps to tell strangers (even if in vague terms, to preserve your privacy) what it is happening to you.

I’m so, so sorry for you. It must be so hard to be dealing with all the official parts but one day you will be proud of honouring your mum. You’re doing all this for her. She’d be very proud of you and how you are dealing with it all.

Your Mum might not be here now but you can remember her love and let that power you on. I wish I could give you a hug.

So sorry to hear this OP, what an awful thing for you and your family to have to go through. My DF passed away suddenly almost two years ago, he was found at home by a relative after trying to make contact and getting no reply. It is the hardest thing I have ever had to go through, especially as it was so out of the blue. Take care of yourself, things will get easier with time although I know its hard to see that atm
