How far from your birthplace do you now live?

Chatting at work today and it came to light that of the 5 of us, 3 still live in the same town as they were born in.

I moved a lot as a child and (having used a distance calculator) have worked out I live 445miles from where I was born.

2 miles. I've lived in 2 other countries, but returned home thinking it a great place to raise children. I spent most of my teenage years lamenting that I lived in a dump, so not quite sure why I'd want to inflict the same on my own DC.

I did live in Oz for two years.
Ideally we want to move counties to another town that’s much nicer. Just not happening at the minute.

Currently 44 miles from the city I was born in, although I moved 75 miles away (in a different direction) from my place of birth as a baby and have been in my current village for 28 years

But, I lived abroad for over a decade so when I got home it seemed obvious to go to my old home town.

DH was born in the same village where FILs family have been for hundreds of years. We’re now only 6 miles from there.
