With anyone right now....what would you be doing?

I’d be sitting on a beach, in the sun, with my granddaughter, eating ice cream and building sandcastles.
I miss her cuddles, her laugh and her love of everything new. She’s the funniest 2 year old I’ve even known (I’m biased, I know!)
I just love her love of everything and I miss her so, so, so much.

With my husband in a beach restaurant watching the sunset on a warm summers evening with the sound of the waves hitting the shore with good food and wine. One of those evening you don't want to end

I miss my friends (though am just as happy on my own but Covid has made me think of great times I have had with them). Would love to meet up for a picnic (obvs not in this weather, am I allowed to imagine it is sunny??) or in someone's garden for wine or even our usual tipple - tea, some nibbles and lots of chat! Bloody hell, even indoors come to that!

Skiing.
I would give anything to be able to breathe in that fresh mountain air and beautiful scenery.

I'd be home in Italy, they have so much snow atm. I don't know if the lifts have opened or of my cousins have just been walking to the top of the mountain and skiing back down but people are skiing.

Would have lots of cups of teas with my gran/aunties/cousins while my DC play with my cousins DC and practise their Italian.

@Camomila, I think I read somewhere that some ski resorts are allowing locals to ski.

Makes sense, they all live about 10/15min drive away from the bottom of the slopes.

On a beach in a hot country.

On my favorite beach in Ireland, after a day of swimming and sunbathing. Watching the sun go down with my DC.

Walking across a piazza somewhere in Italy soaking up the atmosphere and planning my day of walking, seeing great art or beautiful chapels or the duomo and eating fantastic food.

Alone, looking around charity shops with a stop for a cheese scone and cappuccino.

Sat in my mums living room with a cup of tea and a slice of cake putting the world to rights. I haven’t seen her for 18 months now and it’s getting increasingly hard. She’s 4000 km away in a different country and I have no clue when I will get there.

Sitting on the back porch of my best friend's house in Columbus, Ohio. We'd be talking and laughing, her on the beer, me on the rootbeer. It would be dusk and the fireflies would be sparking into life. As it gets darker we'd light the fire pit and dance around and sing like a pair of idiots. There's lots of ways my life could be infinitely better, not being screwed over by the employer who promised me the earth, being in a happy and loving relationship, wishing the last four years of crappy luck in every area of my life would take a turn for the better but most of all, it would be to spend another one of those amazing evenings with Kitty in Ohio
