If you could be anywhere, doing anything....

With anyone right now....what would you be doing?

I’d be sitting on a beach, in the sun, with my granddaughter, eating ice cream and building sandcastles.
I miss her cuddles, her laugh and her love of everything new. She’s the funniest 2 year old I’ve even known (I’m biased, I know!)
I just love her love of everything and I miss her so, so, so much.

I'd be on a cruise in Alaska, drinking champagne on the balcony watching whales alongside the ship and the view, with my children somewhere close by content and happy.

YakkityYakYakYak · 15/01/2021 20:47

I’d be alone, in a luxurious spa hotel. I’d order room service, and drink nice wine, and read my book, and maybe have a bath.

I think about this a lot Grin

In our flat rather than the parked up campervan after I agreed my son could have a sleepover in it on a really cold night.

Yippeeforme · 15/01/2021 20:50

In Ireland visiting my Nana's grave because I missed the funeral to protect my vulnerable dad and it tore me to shreds.

dubyalass · 15/01/2021 20:58

At my friends' place in northeast Spain, with a good bunch of friends, sitting in the warm evening sunshine chatting shit over a cold beer and tasty BBQ having spent the day swimming in the lake.

oneglassandpuzzled · 15/01/2021 20:59

In a cosy alpine restaurant with friends, laughing about the day we had skiing.

Sandsnake · 15/01/2021 21:04

Skiing somewhere wonderful with perfect snow conditions and blue skies with my family.

LegoPirateMonkey · 15/01/2021 21:04

In a pool under the stars somewhere warm.

DenisetheMenace · 15/01/2021 21:05

Doing anything, anywhere with our 5 month old grandchild who we can’t see.

Weenurse · 15/01/2021 21:08

Disney world on the avatar ride

Serena1977 · 15/01/2021 21:10

In Lanzarote watching DC play in the sand and the sea then going for a sea swim and then out for dinner. Exactly what we did last February. Didn't know what was round the corner:(

ladymuck111 · 15/01/2021 21:13

On a sun lounger, next to a swimming pool with a cocktail in one hand and a book in the other

Near my favourite beach in Dorset, halfway up the hill on the bench, watching the sun set over Lyme. Sometimes the surfers are out until dark. When I need peace, I go there in my mind's eye.

HopingForOurRainbowBaby · 15/01/2021 21:29

On a cruise, watching a movie under the stars, whilst snuggled up under blanket with a glass of milk and a cookie. If it's a nice clear night I'll go for a walk around the outside of the ship and watch the stars for while. Then after that I'll go up to the horizon court and make myself a coffee which I will take back to my cabin along with a cake or 2 then go to sleep ready to wake up in Grand Cayman where I can go to a little shop that sells the most amazing coconut rum cake

Sparklingbrook · 15/01/2021 21:35

On the balcony of one of the mansions overlooking San Francisco Bay drink in hand.

HopeYourHighHorseBucks · 15/01/2021 21:38

In real life it would be somewhere hot. DP and DC, my siblings and best friend. Doing nothing but catching up.

If I could I would be anywhere with my mum, rain, storm or snow. She died a few years ago when i was barely an adult and I still miss her so much.

Kljnmw3459 · 15/01/2021 21:39

I'd be visiting my parents, I miss them so much. I'd also be visiting my in-laws.

Dowser · 15/01/2021 21:48

In Tenerife, with all my family
Like I was for my wedding just over 5 years ago

RoseMartha · 15/01/2021 21:52

I would be in Cornwall walking along a sandy beach on a warm summers day on the shoreline while my dc were in the sea.

NotCornflakes · 15/01/2021 21:55

I want to wake up tomorrow morning in my old house (moved a year ago and it's been a big mistake), and go and meet my best friend for coffee and cake and a wander round the shops.

LaBelleSauvage123 · 15/01/2021 22:01

I’d be in a cottage next to the sea on the Jurassic coast with a roaring fire and good food, family and friends. I’d go fossilling every day, watch the sunset at night, eat, drink, talk and laugh.

ParisJeTAime · 15/01/2021 22:04

I'd be somewhere hot, with first class childcare for the kids to go and be cared for for a couple of hours. I am sick to death of the fucking cold. I am getting irrationally angry with the weather / temperature at the moment ConfusedBlush. Should be grateful I can afford to put the heating on when needed really!

BogRollBOGOF · 15/01/2021 22:05

A yoga retreat, somewhere warm and sunny.
No chores. No homeschool. No mud.

giao · 15/01/2021 22:07

LaBelleSauvage123, that sounds lovely, such a special part of the world.

LaBelleSauvage123 · 15/01/2021 22:08

I love it. I’m lucky enough to live only just over an hour away, but it’s just too far for exercise at the moment!
