I am looking for new or old seriel killer drama to watch. My partner thinks I have seen every one going. I don't fancy one with subtitles but have watched some in the past. ( hurts my eyes at the mo) also I prefer ones that are over a few episodes. I dislike super natural dramas. Just watched Equinox and it annoyed me.

Are there any hidden gems I have missed? Off hand I have watched the following?

Chalet
Cardinal
Absentia
Inspector montelbano
Innocent
The killing
Guilt
Marcella
Blue murder
The missing
The fall
Vera
Dark forest
Blood and water

The alienist
Bordertown
The dark
La mante
Bosch

Baptiste
The missing
The bay
Cheat
The widow
Ultra violet
Carlo and mark
Quicksand
The victim
Spiral
The shield
Beecham house
Foyles war
Maigret
Hinterland you
Spiral
Keeping faith
What remains
Osmosis
Crimson rivers
Instinct
Sharp objects
Mentalist
Mindhunter
Justified
Follow the monkey

Confession
Dead water fell
Hidden
Blood
Silent witness
Wire in the blood
Luther
Trial and retribution
All harlen coben remakes

Here's one you definitely won't have seen.
I know you didn't really want subtitles, but the Thai drama "Revenge" on Netflix is very brutal and essentially about a serial killer, but the motive is revenge.
I haven't seen it all yet, so can't say whether it's consistently good but am hooked so far. Some of the acting/direction etc is slightly ropey at points, but it's a really dramatic story so I can overlook that.

If you like a good book on serial killers, Gordon Burns 'Happy Like Murderers' about Fred and Rosemary West is hard going but he writes very very well.

Broadchurch
Line of Duty
Killing Eve

what about the old school PD James, there's one of hers called 'The Murder Room' and Adam Dalgleish - I think it's called Dalgleish. was good when I watched it years ago

Happy Valley (1 & 2) absolutely wonderful
The Robert Galbraith Cormeron Strike Stories, I think there are several on UK TV Play You would need to check out the individual titles from the actual books

OP go to website JustWatch.com or get the app. You can mark all the tv shows you have watched andirons recommends similar shows or you can also search for shows there maybe some crime shows you've not seen

Unbelievable on Netflix. It’s amazing. It’s got Toni Collette in it and I’m always amazed more people haven’t watched it!

StopMakingATitOfUrselfNPissOff · 12/01/2021 16:35

Oh yes and seconding the Following with Kevin Bacon.

Mucky1 · 12/01/2021 16:37

Iv found acorn tv and it's got loads of Aussie and NZ police dramas on that I'm enjoying. The broken wood mystery's are also on UKTV if you can manage the ads.

MrsMiaWallis · 12/01/2021 17:03

The first 2 seasons of Fargo are brilliant OP!

WiseOwlRelaxing · 12/01/2021 17:04

I can handle subtitles but I can't handle the sound of korean so respect to anybody who can watch a k drama.. It's just not an easy on the ear language.

SallyCinnamon3009 · 12/01/2021 17:12

Yes to red riding!!! It's grim but amazing!

Didn't see broadchurch in your list, season one and three were great wasn't as keen on the middle one

Mystery Road series 1 & 2 available on iplayer.

Australian police drama about an aborigine detective. Really good and a bit unusual different from a normal police drama.

Coffeandteav · 12/01/2021 17:22

Is red riding the film triology? What platform did you watch it on?

Thanks all for your suggestions. So far I have

Messiah
Red Riding
Fargo
Death in paradise
PD James
Dalglish
The jinx

And a Thai drama. I have seen all of the others. I think I watch too much TV.

I also mixed up book marking. I have it in my head as place marking.
