Most overrated song ever!

Ok I'm sure this will have been done before but I'm currently listening to Greatest Hits Radio's top 500 favourite songs countdown. They've just played Purple Rain and whilst I can appreciate it's a decent song I really don't get the almost universal love for it. I'm sure Hey Jude and Imagine will be along shortly which are IMO the most over rated songs of all time. I'm also the only person I know who isn't keen on Fairytale of New York.

What songs do you dislike that nearly everyone else seems to love?

I've been listening to this countdown on Greatest Hits radio for days now, it's slightly tarnished by the almost guaranteed number 1 being Bohemian sodding Rhapsody. It needs to be shut away for a decade or two until people have forgotten it a bit. It's just so overplayed.

@hollyandkit wasn't the number one something really random last year like You To Me Are Everything hence the reboot version of the countdown because everyone thought WTAF?! It just happened to be heavily featured on the playlist around that time hence the random high ranking.

I listened to a bit of that earlier. It made my ironing pile even duller (if that's possible!) All these countdowns are the same & I can almost guarantee Bohemian Rhapsody will be number 1.
I'm actually not keen on the so called 'classics' & think most of the artists have had much better hits that weren't as successful.
I don't like Fairytale of New York either, or Love Shack, can't stand U2 type anthems & I've given up now & resorted to my own playlist.
