Hi all!
Is anyone still awake and fancying a natter?
Me and DH aren't in a good place but we have have just built/wrapped everything for the 2 DDs and he's now snoring next to me! DDs are blissfully asleep Grin
So I'm having a wine and watching a film!
What is anyone else upto now/today?

Awake too...d@#khead neighbour has been playing music all night. Husband approached him at 12am last night to ask him to turn it down and was told "no, its Christmas...I'll have it as loud as I want!" Literally been played all night.....I am exhausted and have worked all the way up until yesterday.

Last time we reported him, we were threatened by them and others on the street so not worth it!

@bubblesforlife my mum is shit at presents too. She's tight so I gave her the DD's list first to take her pick of the cheap presents- they are 3 and 13 so quite different interests... shes bought them pj's from BnM. I even said "they get new PJs in their Christmas Eve box mum..." by nope, apparently "you can never have too many pjs".

The worst bit is she'll be a martyr for the next week that those aren't the kids best present. Last year was the same only they got hairbrushes and bobbles.

Sigh, mother's, who'd have 'em? Me, live her to bits despite her shit gifts

@TKLlover that is proper crap. Really feel for you. I had those type of neighbours for years. Made even worse when MIL visited and said next door was like a tap house(pub)! Then they moved to be replaced by their relatives, who were just as bad. Sold up and ran in the end.

Awake too! Been up quite a lot of the night with my 5 year old having stomach pains so we have mainly been situated next to the loo. She settled around 2, woke at 4 for an hour and a half and is now back asleep. Hopefully for a while longer and will wake up feeling fine! I however have therefore been awake virtually since 11.30pm. Merry Christmas 🎄 🥴

I'm up. Had a shit nights sleep due to antibiotics, shattered now and waiting for the kids to wake up

Thanks @Midnightstar76

We are saving to buy a house next year as landlord refused to help us, unless we continued to report him and put ourselves at risk.

Luckily my girls have cuddled up in bed together (they do it every Christmas & are nearly teens lol) in my youngest daughter's room, which is on opposite side of the house and snoring away, so it will be just me looking like a zombie tomorrow Haha.

I'm up the dog got me up at half five. It will be hours before the dc get up so I'm enjoying the peace and quiet and watching the dog sleep as she always does the minute I come downstairs.

Morning all. Been awake since about 4.30. On my 3rd coffee. Wondering if I can switch from milk to Bailey's in it yet?

I have had a lovely Christmas present already! Grin. I live alone and I've finally connected my bedroom TV to the internet! Only lived here a year and never got round to it.

I may never move from my bed again! Grin.

stockings out for the big kids...
Oops,
forget to get barely any stocking fillers for the middle boy.
I've cobbled together some chocolates & lego figures & a cuddley ... but still serious guilt...

Could have at least got him some socks!! Xmas Blush

Rowgtfc72 · 25/12/2020 07:54

Woke up at 345am. Its friday so my brain thinks I should be up for work! Sat watching tv with lebkuchen chocolates waiting to see what time dh and teen dd will surface.
Kills me every year knowing its Christmas morning and I have to stare at unopened presents for 5hrs on my own!

MrsChuckBass · 25/12/2020 12:45

Wow i didn't expect so many replies!
DH has gone for a lie down Hmm so it's me and the DDs (4&5) watching Xmas films!
