Isn't it just! I have been with children 24 hours a day since all this started.

midgebabe · 27/12/2020 14:53

Well that exudes a lot!

Fleamaker123 · 27/12/2020 15:14

Honeyroar, serious question, do you have to sign a confidentiality agreement doing that job??

With regards to famous people I mean x

NeedToKnow101 · 27/12/2020 15:19

@Honeyroar

No just Bonkers British! But I spent a lot of time on lovely long Caribbean trips when I started out, drank copious amounts of their rum punches and had some crazy times.🤪

I spent Xmas in Tobago once, in a regular house, rather than a hotel. On Xmas morning a jazz band went round all the houses.. we got the Pink Panther theme tune - it was so cool.

Honeyroar · 27/12/2020 16:05

That sounds fun Needtoknow. I once spent a Xmas trip in Ghana. It’s right on the equator and always boiling. The (lovely) hotel dragged us in from the pool at midday to listen to their carolling and drink piping hot mulled wine. I thought I was going to combust!

No Flea we never had to sign anything (the only time I ever remember doing anything like that was when they trained us on the first lie flat business class seats probably 20 yrs ago). But you’d have really got into trouble for being indiscreet. Back when I started you weren’t allowed through the curtains to first class without a really good reason. In the last few years they’d created a new fleet of crew, all very young, and had a bit of trouble with them taking photos! I guess there was no social media when I started, so our blips were kept to oyeselves!

Fleamaker123 · 27/12/2020 16:21

That's fascinating Honeyroar. Yes, no social media or phones in our day was there! We'll just have to wait to read your memoirs 😁

Dennis Watterman.
(I have no shame😄)

Willow2017 · 27/12/2020 17:06

SO !!!! Stupid phone.

ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf · 27/12/2020 17:08

@Honeyroar

Do stop glaring *@elfy* you’ll ruin your eyes and make that frown line bigger. Yes please repost.
This would be SO much sodding easier if it wasn't for that bloody Honey woman... She's lucky I'm all heart.... I'm all give, give give, she's all take, take, take. With her bloody 'oh, I used to point out the exits to famous people' blah blah blah and the rest of them just lapping it up
shinynewapple2020 · 27/12/2020 17:09

Hello @Willow2017 not seen you for ages !! Hope you are ok Smile

ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf · 27/12/2020 17:10

@ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf

And when I went to the girl, come on and teach me to sway She laughed and whispered to me, yes come tonight to the bay 80s
Agadoo, Black Lace, got by Flea (who has moved WAAAAY down the 'coolness' ladder)
ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf · 27/12/2020 17:12

@ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf

I don't want him Couldn't stand him He was no good so I (hahahaha) 90s
Macarana got by Xsquared (who has also somewhat slipped in the coolness stakes)
ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf · 27/12/2020 17:14

@ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf

The soldier blues were trapped on a hillside The battle raging all around The sergeant cried, We've got to hang on, boys! We've got to hold this piece of ground I need a volunteer to ride up And bring us back some extra men 70s
Billy Don't be a Hero, got by FlouncingB (lovely lady, but never especially high in the coolness division even before now)
Willow2017 · 27/12/2020 17:15

shinynewapple2020
Fine thanks. Hope you and yours are too.

ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf · 27/12/2020 17:16

@ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf

Do you play with the girls, play with the boys? Do you ever get lonely playing with your toys? We can talk, we can sing I'll be the queen and you'll be the king Hey boy in your tree Throw down your ladder make a room for me I've got a house with windows and doors I'll show you mine, you show me yours 90s
C'est La Vie by B*witched. Xsquared so low on the coolness ladder... right down in the cellar!
ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf · 27/12/2020 17:19

[not only uncool - at least had the grace to insert a blushing emoji - BUT also a point deducted for spelling B*witched wrong.]

ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf · 27/12/2020 17:23

@CoffeeBeansGalore

His eyes was his tools and his smile was his gun But all he had come for was having some fun

Cotton eye Joe

coffee is correct. Unfortunately, Coffee has a coolness none of us can displace. It's just by being the OP and general referree.
ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf · 27/12/2020 17:24

@CoffeeBeansGalore

Wild stab in the dark

Come jump in, bimbo friend, let us do it again
Hit the town, fool around, let's go party
90s

Aqua, Barbie Girl?

This is correct. NOT Alright by Supergrass, which is what xsquared guessed (although, to be fair, that guess kept me entertained for quite some time!)
ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf · 27/12/2020 17:27

@ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf

A love we always share At party time and Christmas too We know that she'll be there 80s, I think, but it must've been very early 80s. Has a very 70s vibe to me
Grandma we love you by the St Winifred's girls school choir guessed by shiny. Who ACTUALLY doesn't lose coolness points, because I think this song has been on these threads at least twice, and perhaps shiny just had a really good memory???
ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf · 27/12/2020 17:29

@ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf

AM, FM, all that jazz We'd rather sing along with Yazz What happened to the radio? They never play the songs we know 80s
So this one still to be got. I don't think this one is too, too hard. Do you want more lyrics?
ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf · 27/12/2020 17:31

@ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf

Course you are, don't question me. I'm a Superstar Par excellance, heavy on style I'm your main man, 80s
And this one. To be fair, this one is quite hard. Although if you're my age or thereabouts, you'll DEFINITELY have heard it (although perhaps done your best to erase the memory).

It is so monumentally awful, that anyone getting it from this will earn 100 (yes, you read that right, 100) bonus points and our grudging respect.

I will post more lyrics if needed.

ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf · 27/12/2020 17:33

Ha ha ha ha ha.
I've just realized how needtoknow is going to absolutely combust once she realizes there a coolness ladder for her to go up or down! I'm typing this laughing! Grin

ClearingSpaceOnTheTrophyShelf · 27/12/2020 17:33

Hello, Willow. Lovely to see you back.
