Because I love these threads and winter food!

We had lamb, apricot, veggie and chickpea tagine, with bulgar wheat pitta and hummus on the side. Was lovely. A teeny bit of lamb leftover from yesterday went a very long way!

Shepherds pie. With loads of veggies in it because I’m trying to be healthy.

WisestIsShe · 30/11/2020 19:42

Goulash in the slow cooker and part baked ciabatta.

lucysmam · 30/11/2020 19:42

Pasta & meatballs. I've run out of spaghetti :(

We had chicken and leek bake with garlic mash and spring greens.

pastapestoparmesan · 30/11/2020 19:42

Baked feta with puy lentils and mango chutney. It was delicious.

badlydrawnbear · 30/11/2020 19:44

DH made a dhal in the instant pot. He is obsessed with dhal and his new instant pot.

ColinKnocksTwoPence · 30/11/2020 19:47

Lasagne with roasted mushrooms, leeks and tomatoes.

SylvieSangFroid · 30/11/2020 19:50

@Swifey40

That sounds absolutely delicious!! Do you have the recipe?? Just lemon sole, broccoli and green beans here tonight! We are trying to be extra good before Christmas starts 😬
Here you go Smile!

We didn't have ra el hanout, so I used harissa paste instead! It was a little sweet, but still v nice and sort of healthy and thrifty!

I keep hearing about instant pots @badlydrawnbear, but honestly don't even know what they are! Is it a pressure cooker? I am a huge fan of dal, in all its guises.

We're having Panackerty and we live in Yorkshire, not North East

UsernameTaken76 · 30/11/2020 19:53

Bacon, asparagus and mushroom pasta. Was lovely one of our favourite meals.

Gohackyourself · 30/11/2020 19:58

Chicken and vegetable pie, mash and carrots.

I’d love someone to write Turkey twizzlersGrin

laughoutquiet · 30/11/2020 19:59

I did Beef Bourguignon, the Julia Childs recipe. It's lovely. Served with mash and brussels.

4 portions left for the freezer too #winning

laughoutquiet · 30/11/2020 20:00

@TheChosenTwo

Monkfish wrapped in Parma ham on a bed of garlic wilted spinach and kale, sautéed potatoes and some broccoli that needed cooking. Not eaten it yet, dh is cooking, but it smells delicious 😋

This sounds lovely 😊

Lucylivesinamushroomhouse · 30/11/2020 20:04

A sort of ratatouille with the leftover veg in the fridge (courgette, peppers, mushrooms and some squishy tomatoes) with filled pasta.

Fridge is looking pleasingly empty ready for our veg box delivery tomorrow.

thedogandthecat · 30/11/2020 20:04

We had steak, with chips from the ActiFry and a pea purée Smile

doodleygirl · 30/11/2020 20:09

I had baked cod in a parcel with spinach, fennel and leek, together with a baked sweet potato. DH had chip shop fish (breadcrumbed and fried) with home made chips, broccoli and carrot.

We both thought ours was the better one Grin

I also made a veg chilli for tomorrow night at the same time as cooking the fish. Unfortunately, I have chucked in cinammon rather than cumin. Dinner tomorrow night will be interesting.

YesILikeItToo · 30/11/2020 20:10

I made a very simple tuna and walnut pasta sauce last night, there was some left over. This was good because I had a big work deadline and I thought I might be just eating it at my desk. But no! I finished unexpectedly early, so I studied the science of Daquiri making while the pasta cooked and celebrated my success by layering on some extra toasted walnuts and a spoon of soured cream. Wild success!

doodleygirl · 30/11/2020 20:10

@thedogandthecat
Would you recommend the Actifry, I am pondering getting one.

merlotormalbec · 30/11/2020 20:27

Leak and pea risotto

BiscuitsUnited · 30/11/2020 20:50

Portuguese Piri piri chicken from the Fay Ripley book with flatbreads, green salad, homemade wedges and a cold beer 🍺

Allthebubbles · 30/11/2020 21:52

Chicken, leek and roasted squash pie topped with mash. Served with carrots and broccoli, nice comfort food.

PurpleDaisies · 30/11/2020 21:56

Lentil moussaka here with leftover butternut squash vegan cheesy type sauce instead of bechamel.

It was lovely. I’ve done double the lentil mix so I’ll use that and make fresh sauce next time. I can’t cope with making both in one go. Too much effort.

theseriousmoonlight · 30/11/2020 21:58

Sweet potato and chickpea stew with cous cous, feta and sun dried tomatoes. And two mince pies for dessert.

I'd usually only have one mince pie but they were only smallish ones.

thedogandthecat · 30/11/2020 21:59

I'd 100% recommend, I didn't think I'd use it half as much as I do
