Ddog refused to go for a wee before we came to bed. I even carried her out and she just stared at me on the grass looking like a fluffy baked potato. She then woke at 2am and decided she needed to go. She is now snoring next to me, and I’m wide awake on MN.

I've got a completely blocked nose so can't breathe and am a bit panicked at the sensation of it. So am sat up waiting for my honey, lemon and ginger drink to cool down a little. I'm shattered and hoping it will clear soon!

GentleBen · 30/11/2020 03:53

My waters just broke! 😳

frankie001 · 30/11/2020 03:55

@GentleBen wishing you all the best!!!

Back to work tomorrow and haven’t finished the work I was meant to have completed before my week off. Have had the time but have been stressed by other things and feeling very low. Normally the last min pressure kicks in and I manage to pull something together but this time it I’m just watching the time tick by knowing I’m going to be in shit tomorrow. Why oh why do I allow myself to get into such a mess

frankie001 · 30/11/2020 03:56

All the dogs are misbehaving tonight. Silly puppers.

@GentleBen that’s terrific news! Good luck.

sparticuscaticus · 30/11/2020 04:00

Wow, what a mixture of lives!
I'm awake as needed my inhaler a few times tonight

JoeCalFuckingZaghe · 30/11/2020 04:01

A combination of things but mainly insomnia. I usually have a, urm, herbal remedy, for it but I’m out at the moment. I know MN despises the stuff but it’s the only stuff that actually allows me to sleep and function the next day. I’m not looking forward to the alarm in a few hrs.

PhilCornwall1 · 30/11/2020 04:02

Been awake since 3am with pain, but resisted getting up. First round of painkillers for me. My Rheumatoid Arthritis usually kicks in waking me up at this time, but I've got the added fun of the fact it's inflamed my left eye, so what should be white is blood red and hurts like hell. Codeine and steroid eye drops time.

That's me awake now till bedtime. On the plus side, I don't now put my cam on for calls. Someone insisted last week, so I did, they said I looked awful, told them they weren't so pretty either, but I had an excuse. It was a director, so that's helped the career!! 🤣

popshops · 30/11/2020 04:04

@frankie001 that's hard to manage asthma and anxiety.

@Temporary1234 I hope they are found soon, I'd be terrified too.

@GentleBen so exciting !

MustardMitt · 30/11/2020 04:10

@frankie001 I did Grin

Good luck @GentleBen!

1stevernamechange · 30/11/2020 04:14

Email at 230am to say dd’s COVID test was negative, anxiety kicked in after as not sure if a friend has fallen out with me, so everything whirring round my head!

ShirazSavedMySanity · 30/11/2020 04:15

My brain won’t let me sleep.
Alarm set for 6:15 and I don’t want to be awake, I’m tired but my mind
Tells me otherwise so here I am
On mumsnet. So frustrating

magvdamme · 30/11/2020 04:16

Awake feeding my 1 week old who has taken to liking to wait to poo in the nice clean nappy I put on her

Magicsprinkles · 30/11/2020 04:22

Oh temporary no wonder you are awake!
frankie certainly been a Crap year, and I hate the brexit uncertainty on top. Mum abroad and it has a massive effect.
Trying mindfulness too! Not working tonight tho! I think the trouble is you have to be sort of calm to do it! Have headspace and listen to Tara brach. What do you do? Sure you are right, when you get there it will be fine x

Gooseysgirl · 30/11/2020 04:24

Anxiety... both DC off school due to covid cases in their year group. I've got a uni assignment deadline coming up. Also have a sore throat.

OffredOfjune · 30/11/2020 04:28

Anxiety. Ruminating on past mistakes. Luckily, DH is awake too (neither have work tomorrow) so we're looking at present ideas online for Christmas.

Diglett567 · 30/11/2020 04:30

I'm BF feeding my two week old.

@GentleBen so exciting! Have your contractions started yet?

HeronLanyon · 30/11/2020 04:30

General anxiety since losing both parents has completely buggered up my sleep for over a year now.
Can’t even identify what I am anxious about but can identify what has caused it. My head and psyche are totally out of synch.
Support all. Including parping dog, waters breaking and other assorted night worries.

YukoandHiro · 30/11/2020 04:31

Six week old has bad reflux and keeps projectiling herself awake. Seems to be worse tonight. Considering calling the GP tomorrow in case it's more than just regular baby chuck up.

She's my second baby and I promised myself I wouldn't be so anxious this time round. How's that going for me, then? Hmm

MarshmallowsOnToast · 30/11/2020 04:31

Another up with baby.

He sleeps well most of the time but some nights will wake up at 3am babbling and nothing will get him back to sleep.

Just have to wait it out for 2 hours then get him back in bed.

Magicsprinkles · 30/11/2020 04:32

heron very sorry to hear that.

WouldBeGood · 30/11/2020 04:32

I sleep really badly and am worried about lockdown. Had a dream about having to escape and now anxious about everything that’s ever happened!

@GentleBen that is exciting- good luck

WouldBeGood · 30/11/2020 04:34

@YukoandHiro ring your gp, my friend’s baby did that abd it turned out to be a Thing (nothing to worry about!) can’t remember the name. He grew out of it but it was such a relief to her when she knew why he was doing it
