Anyone got a ‘Snug’ sofa?

Napqueen1234 · 22/11/2020 19:49

Just that really! It’s a brand rather than just a snugly sofa Smile Look nice on the website, quick delivery and good reviews but wondering if anyone actually has one and any good/bad points? Moving into a small flat soon which will be a nightmare for furniture so thought a flat pack sofa could be perfect. Thanks!

Hi, would anyone have a spare referral code please? I am about to order a sofa as the one I have just received from Loaf is dreadful. Thanks.

Thank you very much.

Honestly, so many of the previous posters have zero posting history, or very little posting history.

This could not be sending out bigger 'company plugging its product by pretending to be a mummeee' red alert signals if it tried.

If you're going to try to advertise your soft furnishings on Mumsnet on the cheap, at least do a better job of going under the radar. Hmm

It puts me off a company. So many companies have tried this sort of thing and been found out, I'm surprised so many still keep trying. It shows fest they think of the general public.

I've just bought one but must admit I'm very suspicious of the reviews online and comments on here.Although I'd never commented on here before either! I hoped I would get honest feedback here but perhaps not.I'm pleased so far but nervous after a couple of months the thing falls apart! 🙈

goodinacrisis · 29/03/2021 18:50

I wonder if I'm included in the suspicions... I've not posted on here a huge amount until recently but I've just bought my first house and have needed / still need lots of advice (on sofas and many other things) so have been asking for help a lot more recently.

I like my sofa but now you're making me suspicious too!!

I’ve named changed as I’ve moaned about this to everyone in tea life and don’t want to be recognised!

I bought a snug sofa and it doesn’t fit together well - there’s a gap between the cushion seat and side. I’ve contacted them and they said I had to measure it which I had to buy a tape measure for and then did. They then said both the cushion and the base size was not correct so I need to disassemble it, they’ll deliver replacement base and cushions, then they’ll come the next day to pick up the old ones. They then booked this in for Monday without me confirming which isn’t possible for me.

This is SUCH a lot of hassle as I live alone so not sure how I’m meant to get it apart on my own and no-one is allowed in my house legally obviously. I also have to wait in the house for 2 days in a row when i can finally do it.

They’ve not even apologised when I said all this and that I was disappointed - just said - let us know when you can do it........I definitely wouldn’t buy again from them.

Ohthefireplace · 02/04/2021 17:59

Real life! Not tea life....

Bexster78 · 03/04/2021 16:21

MumBrum seems to exist solely to post about Snug and post referral codes to anyone that asks....hmmm

Not really lol if it’s a company just trying to push their advertising for free by pretending to be a real user....

I’m a very happy customer and basically just reply to messages that I get notified about by email. I’m not justifying myself to you, but wouldn’t want people to think I work for them because that’s unfair to Snug and what I think is a very good brand and referral scheme.
Shinyhappypersonlaughing · 03/04/2021 22:45

Great response mumbrum. Cant imagine snug employing someone to reply at 1030 on a Saturday night!

Curlz1978 · 03/04/2021 22:51

Hmm...it is strange though. There's also a 'Mummy Brummy' on Money supermarket forum dishing out referrals too and very suspicious thread that's overly gushing.I'm still undecided on mine.If it is a marketing ploy from Snug its so very very sad and pathetic.

MNWorldisCrazy · 04/04/2021 03:43

Those armrest don't look very comfy. The corner one reminds me of that cheap Dylan corner sofa in Argos. Good idea though for students perhaps

ArtyFartyQueen · 04/04/2021 04:50

@1moreglassplease

Runway you can buy a pack of anti-slip webbing from Amazon which would stop the cushions slipping. Can't help with the boxes though!
@Runway could you possibly share the link to the webbing stuff on Amazon please? I’ve had a look and can’t seem to find it!

I know, it's unbelievable isn't it? What an appalling accusation to have been levelled.

I can totally see why you've taken the trouble to join Mumsnet/namechange just to make this one very important post in support of someone who themselves only seems to post about this one company's products just a few minutes after they've denied being a not very good sales plant.

I guess sometimes you just feel an instant affinity with another poster; almost like you're the same person or something.
