I had a bunch of flowers through the post today from Waitrose to thank me for being such a valued customer. Has anyone else had this?

I think the OP is Patsy Stone married to Henry VIII.

Onedropbeat · 21/11/2020 08:47

I don’t spend as much as OP but got free Easter eggs at Easter and priority slots throughout this year and priority Christmas slots too.

ureterr1blemuriel · 21/11/2020 08:56

Thanks for being so open OP and showing actual receipts.

Love from

A nosey bugger 🤣

P.S I love your taste in wine!!

ShrikeAttack · 21/11/2020 12:02

Patsy Stone has always been somewhat of a role model.

CovidAnni · 21/11/2020 17:08

Yes me too

I wouldn’t call myself a jealous person but I’ve never been more jealous of anyone on mumsnet as much as op and the wonderful delights of her shopping

FizzPopping · 22/11/2020 04:51

Where do you get your meat order from? Looking for somewhere online for decent quality meat.

PriceEmUp · 22/11/2020 05:03

I like you.

But put a bloody coaster down!

Who spends £1k a month in Waitrose on all that lovely wine (can’t see any gin though just the tonic water!?) and doesn’t put a bloody coaster down?!

Mad woman.

God I miss Waitrose, used to have one down the road, miss the cooks range when I was feeling my inner Chef coming out.

Son in law got a Christmas card from Tesco with £5 gift card, he rarely shops there but i spend £100+ per week (shop for a neighbour as well) never had anything from them.

MitziK · 22/11/2020 11:05

@ShrikeAttack

I am Henry VIIi.
Now don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want to marry you - but could you adopt me? I'll be no trouble, I'll sleep with the animals and be terribly quiet.

You just have to feed me.

I'll even bring coasters.

ShrikeAttack · 22/11/2020 21:51

Coasters!

Madness.

Yes, our children do eat the same. They are welcome to leave what they don't fancy.

Saturday's dinner. Langoustine canapes. John Dory and clams in a curried shellfish broth. Partridge with girolles, pomme puree, cavolo nero, spiced quince and Madeira sauce. Fig tart with cinnamon icecream. Bourbon caramels. All made by me!

I work for Waitrose and it’s part of our ‘Give a little Love’ campaign! Nice little prezzies for regular/loyal/first time customers!

ShrikeAttack · 22/11/2020 21:57

And the flowers did perk up!

Aha @Unrespectedadultchild what are the criteria?

OP posts:
ShrikeAttack · 22/11/2020 22:01

Is it store or head-office that sends them?

OP posts:
ShrikeAttack · 22/11/2020 22:26

Am also quite happy to adopt all-comers. I'm a feeder!

Food, booze, fags, literature, music, facemasks, bath-oils, cashmere, feather duvets, Egyptian cotton, incandescent lighting, gardens, candles, fires, cocktails.

I'm your woman.

I'm not a wanker though.

@FizzPopping I buy my meat from The wild meat Company, Farminson and local farm shops.

Our local Waitrose sent a card when my mum died in June, she was well known in the store and knew all the staff by name. There was a beautiful message written inside, I was really touched.

ShrikeAttack · 22/11/2020 22:53

Sorry to hear about your Mum @HazeyJaneII. Waitrose are very good in my experience.

I was shopping in-store in lockdown#1 on my birthday. I was just chatting to the cashier and the woman on the checkout next to me overheard and it was her birthday too so we were doing the OMG thing. The manager was obviously walking past because she popped up two minutes later with a couple of bottles of champagne for us.

It was very lovely! The woman next to me realised we were not only born on the same day, but in the same year!

We got a bottle of wine. When his favourite sold out, the wine staffer offered an alternative and when my dh asked ‘is it nice?’ the woman said ‘actually I do not know, have it with our compliments and let us know what you think of it’ 😁

ShrikeAttack · 22/11/2020 23:24

My best Waitrose experience was when I had a large order, I was making dinner for 12 on Sunday. My order was due at 6pm on the Friday, the van broke down and had to transfer onto another. It only brought half of my order though. They were super-sorry and brought the rest of my order with a bottle of champagne, a box of chocolates and a bunch of flowers.

Except they didn't. My order was still incomplete. I had a call from the store, very apologetically, asking what I'd like. I said I didn't really care, but I do like booze!

They sent me two more bottles of champagne, 20 real ale, two bags of ice, more chocolates, more flowers, the rest of my order.

And didn't charge me for any of it. I eventually got what I'd ordered for free.

That's good customer service!
