Has anyone else been sent a bunch of flowers by Waitrose?

I had a bunch of flowers through the post today from Waitrose to thank me for being such a valued customer. Has anyone else had this?

@ShrikeAttack how many people are you feeding?! I passed DH my order before placing it and it went from £90- £330, but that was a lot of wine and very much a one off. G’wan redact a screenshot and post it and I’ll show you mine- including 2x boxes of Diet Coke

There's four of us. I'm off to make dinner but I shall post a redacted receipt when I'm done!

It really is quite boring though, you won't be thrilled and amazed!

I'm not even in the UK and I'm here all giddy at the idea of a Waitrose receipt for a £1000!

We probably spend £700-800 a month at the moment, but DD is currently home, and we also shop for my 87 year old aunt, and another couple of friends in their 80's. We buy a lot of prunes!

Not received flowers or Prosecco - but judging by the dates on my food, they don't like me very much. I have taken to complaining! Diced beef delivered on Wednesday went out of date on Thursday - someone is not shopping well!

A number of years ago they had a thing where if your card was drawn, you were given vouchers to the value of what you had spent the previous month, so I received nearly £400 of vouchers. That was really nice.

Was this post Ocado M&S thing? I am probably a bit lazy & have settled for M&S Ocado - but really not sure it is as good - Obviously not spending enough to get flowers etc

No, I'm more disgruntled that the hash browns in my Sainsburys delivery didn't arrive. They're likely rattling around in the van or someone else got them

Did they also love you enough to give you a priority Christmas delivery slot when they first opened? That would have meant more than a bunch of flowers

I got a Christmas Eve slot.

I have no idea why or how - I fired up the app to see whether there was anything for this week, nothing (as usual) and then skipped forward to see one solitary slot in the afternoon.

I have never ordered two bottles of gin in my life or anything so quickly as I put those in my basket.

I think the thing that grates is that it is sweet of them but doesn’t help with my main quest for a delivery slot. . They have just changed our delivery from a local store to a bigger warehouse. They run out of stuff all the time (organic milk, newspapers) and I will check for Saturday fortnight slots before I head to bed tonight. They won’t be released (I am high priority for slots, loyal for years, early adopter and spend similar to OP for 4 people- lots of organic meat etc., all our toiletries, tho’ I have recently switched labelled cleaning stuff etc. to an Asda to see if I save money). By 6am tomorrow when I wake all slots until midday will have gone, maybe all for the whole day if I am unlucky. I only just got a xmas pick up slot weeks ago. So I feel like they are being kind sending flowers and Prosecco (and I do always profusely thank delivery guys as having to do my own shop over lockdown was a rude wake up call and made me even more appreciative). But I NEVER buy sparkling wine or flowers from them. If they sent red wine or a nice SLS free soap that would feel more personal. Or if they offered me a regular slot that would really make me happy and reduce stress!

Do you get 15 bottles of wine every week? I'm in awe if so!?

I got free dog and cat treats in my last Waitrose online shop. I have no pets.

I do have a Christmas delivery slot though.

Yes, how confusing, nothing to do with Waitrose. How odd if Waitrose are sending you flowers. Are they trying to get you to shop with them instead?

Ok! That was hard as I don't get a paper reciept. So there's the screen prints of my latest order.

Nothing that interesting, there is £90's worth of fags there and a quite a bit of wine. That wouldn't be a weekly order though, I just get what I need when I need it, my orders are always completely different. I shop in store too.
