🎤On the National Express
There’s a jolly hostess
Giving porridge free
She’ll provide you with shots
amaretto or what
You like to seeeeee...

Going out was in style
Now we’re stuck in this aisle
Dream of being free
And it’s hard to get by
When your arse is the size
Of the furlough feeeeeee🎤

Bah ba ba la
Bah ba ba la

Tomorrow belongs to meee...

Welcome to the 17:38 to freedom, stopping at virtual hugs, critical discourse, and random tangents along the way. ETA unknown...

@BogRollBOGOF

It was Me Too that used to make me feel more than slightly murderous at 6:30am. Dreadful, dreadful programme.

I must have been lucky and missed that one, I'm in the in between stage of grown up children and young grandchildren.
Peppa pig gives me the rage, so I sympathize. I told my grandson we don't have that on our tv at our house(bad grandma!)

I dont think I could have coped with todays TV progs for kids - my 3 had videos of Thomas the Tank Engine (Ringo starr narrating) and Postman Pat then Teletubbies and Tweenies but thankfully not for long! I got frustrated enough with Pingu not speaking properly and couldn't have coped with Peppa Pig and his ilk!

Love the Shirley Bassey! Don’t we all dress like that in the comfort of our own living rooms?

Bing The Bastard Bunny is a GREAT title for a children’s programme. Little kids love alliteration.

Right, am off to do some essential chocolate shopping. Am I supposed to keep tally of my murder spree? Sorry, I’m new to this serial killer lark, so don’t really know the done thing.

@NastyBlouse
My friend had a very well to do sister whose son was extremely wealthy.
( think own yacht , with all year round crew moored off Monaco)
Well friend used to accompany her ageing sister to Monaco to visit wealthy nephew.
The exclusive apartment he lived in was also the home of Shirley bassey.
Friend and her sister often used to see her in the swimming pool, minus wig.

Oh and if you want to know about wealthy nephew. He hardly had time to take a trip on his yacht and when he did when his mum and aunt were there, the mobile was practically glued to his ear for work.

For the ads that live in The northeast, luxury yacht was built at wallsend.

You can see I’m not envious at all can’t you?

I am buzzing this morning. Hate football don't follow it at all but the Scotland game last night has me on cloud 9! In a sea of shite that this year has been it's amazing to see Scotland qualify for the Euros 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

My arse near collapsed last night watching it but David Marshall aka Mr Handsome helped 😂 dp not impressed with my fawning over him!

Another weekend of nothing planned here! Well I need to wait on all the online orders coming since I went mad Christmas shopping the last few days!

@Curlygirl06 Peppa is banned from our house too. As far as DC is concerned she only exists in pictures and on the auntie’s phones... I refuse to have in the house as Peppa is a brat and I hate the depiction of helpless and useless men being funny/charming rather than rage inducing.

Bing the bastard butterfly murdering bunny.

Best theory I saw about Bing was that he was a child witness to a horrifying crime and in witness protection, and Flop is his personal bodyguard, so elite he could murder an enemy with a single paperclip - and paid so much he manages to keep permanently calm and not murder the whining little shit.

I like it. Saw a great one on here once, along the lines of Flop being in purgatory, and having to deal with a giant whining toddler is the trial he has to get through to make it out. If he loses his temper he gets another hundred years.

Dominic Cummings to leave Downing street by Christmas.

A deserved exit, or Saint Boris (and indeed Scummings himself) trying to distract us from something else?

Yes, the incident of the butterfly murder was mentioned, unfortunately I couldn't refer to Bing as a whiny little shit as there was young people there, but he so is!

Flop is definitely on something. But I don't really have a visceral loathing for Bing like I do for Peppa Pig.

Fun fact: The little girl in The Haunting of Bly Manor is Peppa's voice actress.

I loved The Octonauts, Andy"s Adventures, and Abney and Teal though.

I could see Boris going in January - he'll want to get Brexit "done" before he goes. Though who would replace him I'm not sure.

I have always been proud of my self-restraint at not commiting illegal and unspeakable acts with tablets that shriek and oink their way through loops of Peppa Pig on repeat in the waiting area of children's activities. I loathe everything about that cartoon. Thank goodness mine were never in to it, but I've heard it far too many times week in week out from other people's children.

One blessing of 2020 (but not reallyworth destroying the economy and society over) not having to endure Loud Parenting during kids' activities.

thanks guys, now ive got "andys baby animals" on a loop in my head.

you know what i would rather watch cbeebies 24/7 than some of the shite ds watches on netflix. he has learnt how to pick things himself now, and he ALWAYS chooses some foreign, badly translated shite. I feel sorry for children accross the world if that is what they have to watch on normal tele. it makes me want to rip my eyes out.

coco mong anyone?!

a word to the wise. do not tell your kids that netflix exists. just dont. not worth it.

Well from the sounds of it, I’m glad I missed Bing. I didn’t mind the toddler tv, it was Hannah Montana/Jessie that drove me slightly mad. I had to endure Hannah and HSM at the cinema. I am a lovely MamWink
Can just lower the tone and say how pleased I am that Peter Sutcliffe is dead.

I'm thinking of not telling the kid that kid's TV exists. Although presumably this will prevent me using it to keep them occupied for ten minutes. Maybe I haven't thought this through.

From my babysitting days, I remember liking Tinga Tinga and Charlie and Lola, so maybe I'll just hide the existence of all other TV from them. (It's not going to work, is it?)

Stick with CBeebies, you can't go too far wrong there.

I was so good for the first year... it went downhill in pregnancy Grin
