I could do with one in view of today's likely announcement!

We're having venison bulgogi with rice, and stirfried asian greens tonight. . .

Creamy Cajun chicken pasta and garlic bread.

This recipe sans the chorizo.

Fish curry sounds amazing.

jennie0412 · 01/11/2020 16:47

Kimchi fried rice

KenAdams · 01/11/2020 17:05

Well everyone in my house is getting a ready meal because I've just spent absolutely ages making Nadiyas Chocolate Flan. What a bloody palaver I'm never making it again however it turns out (probably shot tbh I found it really complex).

Graphista · 01/11/2020 17:08

Tonight it’s a roast dinner with actual vegetables after that junkfood extravaganza.

Good to have a balanced diet - a Haribo in each hand

@maddiemookins16mum are you able to get one though? I tend to end up making "expat Scots" homesick with posts like that.

I'm having nothing as I'm here on my own

I'm always on my own! You need to eat even if it's only something simple.

There's a few having lamb, due to being Welsh? or is it in season? I'm veggie so wouldn't know.

I'm having aforementioned fry up. All veggie versions

Bacon, square sausage, black pud, tattie scones, mushrooms, tomatoes, big mug of tea!

MysweetAudrina · 01/11/2020 17:11

Roast chicken, roast potatoes and parsnips, carrot and swede mash, tender stem broccoli and gravy. No potatoes for me as low carbing.

cliffdiver · 01/11/2020 17:14

Roast chicken with all the trimmings. And Cava.

mbosnz · 01/11/2020 17:30

We're having beef bourgignon, creamy garlic mash, roasted kumara, parsnip and pumpkin, with beans broccoli and carrots.

@Graphista no I don't. I usually only eat once a day anyway. And a few weeks ago my husband and I didn't have a meal in the evening for 7 days in a row. We had something during the day but that was it. Just didn't want anything. Plus he's at work so may not have anything.
And please don't tell me what to do

Graphista · 01/11/2020 18:40

Im not telling you what to do! I'm simply concerned that you're eating so little and I don't eat much myself but I strive to have at least one proper meal a day

Sexnotgender · 01/11/2020 18:41

We had salad, hummus, halloumi, falafel, pita & herby spicy potatoes.

custardbear · 01/11/2020 18:43

I've done a beef stew today with dumplings and everything! It's a rare thing for me to cook, ever made dumplings before either as I was recreating what my mum did when I was a kid - thumbs up from the family 😆

mbosnz · 01/11/2020 18:43

My appetite is affected by stress, so it's all over the show at the moment. I seem to be most able to eat lunch, and we had a nice lunch out to say 'ka kite ano' (see you later) to our favourite restaurant today, so I'll be lucky if I'm able to eat more than three bites of the gorgeous dinner DH is cooking up! Maybe happymummy is a bit the same way. . .

Graphista · 01/11/2020 20:22

As am I op, but not eating at all or extremely little is not the answer. I'm most able to have dinner and very rarely manage a bowl of cereal or some toast as a supper.

It's hard to motivate yourself when stressed and it's "just you" but "you" matters and needs the nutrition and cals.

Oxyiz · 01/11/2020 21:19

Who know, perhaps not eating could make you very very grumpy and take friendly comments the wrong way online.

cricketmum84 · 02/11/2020 11:37

Vegetarian nasi goreng tonight from the £1 meat free meals book. Very much looking forward to it!

AdoraBell · 02/11/2020 19:38

Stir fry with leftover meat from yesterday.

Plump82 · 02/11/2020 19:54

@Graphista

I have veggie bacon needs used up so browsing for ideas.

Torn between

fry up for dinner (I've eggs which need used too, tattie scones, sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes in)

Or

Mac cheese with bacon through it

Or

Bacon sandwiches for laziness

Or

omelette or frittata type deal

Or

giant cous cous (risotto style) with bacon added

What do you guys think?

Vegetable stir fry. Can’t decide between rice and noodles... I like cous cous with mine as alternative to rice and noodles great when you want a really speedy option

Vegetarian haggis, neeps and tatties with peppercorn sauce. sounds yum

It was! 1st time I've fried McSweens vegetarian haggis and id buy it again.
mbosnz · 02/11/2020 20:27

chicken and sweet potato risotto here tonight. . .

OP posts:
Graphista · 02/11/2020 20:42

Graphista · 02/11/2020 20:42
