Remember the Friday night drunk thread?

It used to be every Friday night on here - without fail. What the heck happened?

I've got a bottle of red open, and my DH is going to be late, picking up DS on his way back, so no one but me and the dog here.

His conversational skills are lacking...

Of course! What are Friday nights for?! The minute I get in from work on a Friday I pour myself a glass of wine. Now moved on to southern comfort and coke. Friday nights used to be the night DH and I had drinks, got YouTube on and did some singing/ dancing/ talking till the small hours, but DH now works Saturdays, so our Friday nights have gone up in smoke

I really need to get off the sofa and pour a glass of something but the dog is on top of me and my legs hurt from a long walk!
What shall I have? I have red, pink, gin, vodka and amaretto

Received a positive covid test earlier in the week and finally got my taste and smell back today just in time for a Friday night drink! Luckily I had very mild symptoms, and luckily we stocked up on wine before we had to self isolate White wine for me tonight, some strong ciders for DP. Although I'm sat on the sofa watching him play on Fifa with his mates, what a thrilling Friday night!

These days the only thing I'm smooching is my wine glass!

@Pieceofpurplesky oof I love a bit of Amaretto, very jealous! Usually a Christmas eve tradition to have a good bottle of Amaretto between us all waiting for Santa to stop by!

No alcohol yet for me- waiting in the ferry queue but have put a bottle of white, crisps and cheese in my overnight bag for when we finally get onboard

Ameretto is for puddings nor actually drinking. DH and our neighbour polished off half a bottle a couple of years ago and the resulting headaches lasted two days - 🤢

Well, I dont give a flying fuck. I am currently drinking a Black Russian and eating chocolate Its the end of a super stressful week. Selling our house, selling dfs flat, sorting out dfs sheltered housing, providing proof of identities for fecking everone. I deserve this. I also now have two houses full of shite to clear in the next few weeks. I intend tomget pleasently pissed and sick with chocolate tonight😁

Kahlua, vodka, amaretto and cream will restore your faith in amaretto as a drink...

Yeah, half a bottle of amaretto definitely a bad idea. One glass (largish) once tucked back in under the dog and hopefully with a good book / movie.

@leafygarden heading back to the U.K. from France- where, in our area at least, it is impossible to buy Southern Comfort.

DH has a mild allergy to shellfish and is out tonight, so I've had a shellfish buffet and currently half way through my bottle of wine and bag of sensations. YUM!

Has anyone tried amarula?Hardly anyone IRL knows what I'm on about but more people should...
