What were temporary outside classrooms called?

There’s a specific name, not Canin/portacabin. I’m having one of those brain-melt moments and now can’t relax until I remember it. I know this is not of the greatest importance!

Portakabins at our school. Meant to be temporary they were there for 40 years plus until the school was replaced with a a new build nearby. Actually warmer than some of the classrooms in the main buildings as the place was built as an "open school" in the 30s and had loads of French doors everywhere and a leaky flat roof.

They were Elliot blocks for us! No idea why, probably the company name. Think it was the same through all the schools I attended so not school-specific.

In God's name, why ? I know them as prefabs.

Terrapin are an older manufacturer than Portacabin etc.

Mobiles.

Terrapins (1980s, Oxfordshire). Just thinking about them takes me right back to sitting there in the fug of my maths teacher's powerful BO.

Portacabins for me (born 82). The DC school has them at the moment as they are demolishing a classroom block to rebuild a new modern one, and they call them mobiles.

Huts

Prefab and no one wanted lessons in them because they were stifling in summer and icy cold in winter lol

I had some weird complex name in my head for some reason. Definitely not terrapins though!

They were demountables here. Not very temporary in my experience though 😂

I've just realised that our school never had any...we just had a big old school split across two sites.

Rosla at my school (raising of school leaving age), put there as a temporary measure in the 70’s, still there 20 years later !

Terrapins for me too (80's Oxfordshire).
In his previous job DH fairly regularly provided portacabin schools (up to and including assembly halls, labs and gyms) when a school had a flooding/fire event, and teachers loved them as they were often nicer than the school building
