When nothing else will do - Mornington Crescent anyone?

Feels like we could all do with a robust tournament round about now. May I start?

I know this is cheeky, but I’ll begin with...

...Osterley

OP posts:
Pelleas · 18/10/2020 15:04

I shall essay a Pridesworth's Push (ibid) to Paddington.

AnotherAardvark · 18/10/2020 15:10

Seven Sisters, no question. I know it sets me back for now but fingers crossed it pays off later. Legal since the 2005 rules amendment I think you’ll find.

DuckonaBike · 18/10/2020 21:04

Since the pubs close in less than an hour, I’m going to use the Petersham protocol and move to

Ealing Broadway

nosswith · 18/10/2020 22:00

As the pubs are now shutting, I move to Hanger Lane.

FairlyOddmother · 18/10/2020 22:39

Ooh. In that case, I shall move to Maida Vale

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 19/10/2020 08:40

It’s a Monday morning low risk (I think) move to Euston Square for me.

nosswith · 19/10/2020 09:06

So as not to be static a move to Queens Park and just out in the open air.

Pelleas · 19/10/2020 13:02

As it's allowable in these circumstances (since the 'Johnson' incident of 21st March 2019) I am winding my way down to Baker Street.

wizzler · 20/10/2020 07:06

As Osterley starts with a vowel protocol suggests Euston should be next, assuming ( obviously) that the Geneva assumptions remain unchanged

DuckonaBike · 20/10/2020 15:39

wizzler I am not entirely sure that your assumption about the Geneva Assumptions is correct. I think they may have been revised on 15th August, which is, of course, the Feast of the Assumption.

However I think we can straighten things out with a move to

Camden Town

Pelleas · 20/10/2020 17:05

Assuming the above assumptions are still in play, that naturally involves moving back a letter in the alphabet, which swings me across to Barons Court.

nosswith · 20/10/2020 17:22

Chiswick Park is but a short journey away, in time before it gets dark.

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 21/10/2020 15:37

I think a mid-week move to Holborn would be permissible at this point in play? I don’t think there should be a problem as we have recently been to Seven Sisters.

WitchesSpelleas · 21/10/2020 20:29

Claiming an alliteration bonus, I shall toddle off to Hounslow East.

nosswith · 22/10/2020 07:18

Good morning. It's a bit early for Maud (where is she) and I shall make the short move to Heathrow Terminal 5.

DuckonaBike · 22/10/2020 20:57

Since there’s still no sign of Maud, I’m going for Ravenscourt Park

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 22/10/2020 21:20

Oh very bold move, Duck . Well played. I think Hillingdon would be a suitable next move.

DownToTheSeaAgain · 22/10/2020 22:00

Call me old fashioned but Elephant and Castle is the only possible next move

nosswith · 23/10/2020 15:43

As it is Friday, I feel we can safely remain south of the river and move to Tooting Bec

DuckonaBike · 23/10/2020 20:32

Yes, that makes sense. If I may, I’ll follow it up with North Greenwich

nosswith · 24/10/2020 09:02

The DLR rule can come into play now, and take us to Beckton.

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 25/10/2020 10:27

I will take us to Bank. Although the DLR rule remains in play, the usual prohibition does not apply following this morning’s switch to Greenwich Mean Time, so I am fairly sure this move (although unorthodox) is legal.

Quillink · 25/10/2020 12:45

Ah. In that case, let's advance to Victoria.

nosswith · 25/10/2020 16:04

So I can go shopping in Peter Jones, a move to Sloane Square

DuckonaBike · 25/10/2020 16:17

Sorry to lower the tone after that nosswith, but I think the most rational next move is Caledonian Road
