Feels like we could all do with a robust tournament round about now. May I start?

I know this is cheeky, but I’ll begin with...

...Osterley

Waterloo is a station of several parts and so as you travelled from Neasden on a Friday afternoon during British Summer Time you have avoided being in Nidd, thanks to the 1979 rules introduced upon the opening of the Jubilee line.

I think a short move to Lambeth North is in order.

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 16/10/2020 16:44

Under Regulation 516/2007, and my upcoming reduced weekend, I can fo no further than East Acton.

Pelleas · 16/10/2020 16:53

As the clocks haven't gone back yet, I'll expand the Luxembourg rule to its fullest extent to get myself to Marble Arch.

FlyMayBe · 16/10/2020 17:12

As this isn't a leap year and it is the 2nd Friday in October, surely the Tatton Agreement of 1978 takes precedence over all other conventions and protocols? In which case, I will proceed swiftly to Bounds Green.

BothersomeChild · 16/10/2020 17:13

According to the half-hop switcheroo, I'll jump to Manor House (time permitting)

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 16/10/2020 20:04

Under the hours of darkness (autumn/winter) specification i can follow that with

Chancery Lane

DuckonaBike · 16/10/2020 20:33

In that case I will use the Betjeman manoeuvre:

Wembley

It seems appropriate at this time of year.

FromTheAllotment · 16/10/2020 21:00

I am shocked that we have already had both Waterloo and Parsons Green twice each. Does no one read the thread any more?? Shock

I’m bound to accidentally duplicate something now of course Grin

Anyway: as the month has an r in but the clocks have not yet gone back, I can use the Cavendish twiststop and make a full forward pass over to Greenwich

nosswith · 16/10/2020 22:05

The Betjeman move has to be to Wembley Park, not Wembley, so an invalid move has been made. As for Waterloo and Parsons Green, the 1961 convention decreed you are OK if you don't arrive on the same platform twice.

So we are back to Chancery Lane and I move to Tottenham Court Road

Pelleas · 16/10/2020 22:11

Recalling the eventual outcome of the Laughtonwick Rules (paragraph 6.1) dispute of 1992, I'm confident my move to Pimlico is safe.

littlefireseverywhere · 17/10/2020 00:00

I’m invoking the midnight dongs time and going with the Lambeth ruling which allows me to go to Balham.

Pelleas · 17/10/2020 00:04

It's Night Tube rules now, anything goes - so I'm off to Ealing Broadway.

wizzler · 17/10/2020 08:35

Cockfosters next taking great care not to go out of bounds

nosswith · 17/10/2020 09:03

On a weekend the rail replacement rule needs to be invoked on occasions and today seems like one of them, to get me easily to Finchley Central. The bus was bit uncomfortable given the potholes in some of the roads near Arnos Grove- good job the Major is away as his teeth might have fallen out.

JellicleCat · 17/10/2020 12:12

So, am reluctantly forced into the Exceptional Protocol (Scotland) of 1707 and thus the Glasgow Subway is now open and I'm going for Cowcaddens but only Outer.

nosswith · 17/10/2020 17:07

It's taken nearly five hours but we are back in the capital, arriving at Harrow and Wealdstone.

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 17/10/2020 17:22

As it’s after 5pm, and the Exceptional Protocol (Scotland) of 1707 was masterfully played just after midday I will be daring and go to Borough.

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 18/10/2020 07:25

Oh dear. I’ve put everyone in Nidd haven’t I? Poor choice to go South of the river.

Is anyone in a position to invoke the Narrow Gauge Emergency Protocol (Section 4.3)?

nosswith · 18/10/2020 09:00

The narrow gauge protocol would take us to Leighton Buzzard I think. Though closure of narrow gauge railways at this time prevents us doing this.

Let's move from Borough to Moorgate instead.

Pelleas · 18/10/2020 10:11

It's Sunday and the narrow gauge protocol is in play (good call, Janet) so I'm taking myself out of Nidd and into Farringdon.

RHTawneyonabus · 18/10/2020 10:19

Ah but what is often overlooked is the effect of the former necropolis railways I’m sure there was a sub clause in the 1946 Game Protocol Consolidation Accords intended to take account of Nationalisation? I’m therefore reasonably confident that Blackfriars would be a good move.

wizzler · 18/10/2020 14:25

Excellent move Rhtawny. Hmm Given that the clocks haven't gone back yet, coupled and assuming ( fingers crossed ) that leaves on the track won't be apparent until at least Halloween, I'm heading for Farringdon .

forgetthehousework · 18/10/2020 14:35

At the risk of being controversial, Liverpool Street.

nosswith · 18/10/2020 14:59

Interesting use today of the narrow gauge rule and the 1946 one, which I have not seen for a long time.

Liverpool Street is only controversial if you are using the Central line given the exit from there is weekdays only. So I can safely move to Aldgate without a hitch.

JellicleCat · 18/10/2020 15:03

I will resist the temptation to take you back to the Glasgow subway, but as it is Sunday I think we should head off out to the countryside, so Chesham
