Its like The Affair in real life. When he was McNulty he was playing around then just like that character. He tales method acting seriously. I love everything hes ever been in. Eugh, those shots with his wife remind me of David Mellor and the five-bar gate of shame photo. He had the audacity to include his two young sons and pils in it too.

His long-suffering wife's loyalty was not repaid in kind either. David Mellor went on to betray her again with the wife of a close friend, causing all sorts of upset and financial ruin to those around them.

According to someone upthread, there were indeed! I knew he was pretty well known, but I didn't have him pegged as celeb pap-fodder, or as the type of desperado who'd play up to it with staged 'happy family' shots & bizarre notes Confused

Maybe with the lack of celeb sightings the 'paps' have a lot of time on their hands, but I can't see them hanging around in small-town Wiltshire for too long. A few days of silence or 'no comment' and they'd be gone back to London. We're not taking Posh 'n' Becks or Brad and Jen, are we?

The DM have been very interested in Lily James' love life this year so maybe that's a factor in the interest.

It's just weird, isn't it? The strange staged/shamelessly blatant (depending on your viewpoint) canoodling in Rome, which just happened to be photographed from several angles and in several locations; the paps camped outside the marital home; the 'happily married' doorstep kissing and handwritten note ~ just baffling! Confused

Given that it's often the case that the tabloids resort to telling Story A when they're not allowed to tell juicier Story B, I'm dying to know what's really going on.

Not sure about the DW actor rumours - they've been swirling round for years but nothing has come out and you'd have thought it would by now.

The only rumours about him that I do believe are that he's significantly more career-focused and driven than his nice-guy image would suggest.

I don't think cheating has anything to do with how beautiful the wife is or isn't, or the affair partner is or isn't.

What a shame he turned out to be such a toad. His wife seems so lovely, I watched a tour of their home in Ireland, I think they run part of it as a hotel.

Some of the talk on Twitter is hilarious. Someone asked how he defended the pictures in Rome, this was one response:
