Took them out of the wardrobe, turned around and put them on the chest of drawers, answered a text, nipped for a wee and came back and they've gone.

No one else in the house, the room is tiny, definitely not still in the wardrobe or down the back of drawers.

Spooky! This time last year I went to a festival, and remember distinctly on the way out of the door swapping my favourite sunglasses to a less nice pair in case I lost them. 3 hours into the festival I took them off to have glitter applied to my face (because I'm a big cliche) and BOOM they were gone. Not on my head, in my bag, in my pockets, not on the ground, searched everyone else's pockets and bags. 6 people agreed I'd been wearing them. Assumed I'd dropped them on the floor and a very opportunistic thief had grabbed them.

3 months later at home I opened the box where I keep my sunglasses, and there they were sitting on the top

I lost my debit card at the supermarket self service till. I took it out of my wallet ready to swipe, fumbled and it disappeared into thin air. The assistant opened up the apparatus, we looked underneath and around, but nothing. I think she believed that I had had it in my hand. Had to use another card and cancel the vanished one.

It’s the weirdest thing, I filled and vacuumed that bag 12 days ago and the suitcase hasn’t been touched since, there is absolutely no way I took those jeans out of the wardrobe and put on the chest of drawers that day, none whatsoever, yet I would tell you 1000% that I did, I distinctly remember doing it.

That is hilarious OP. I suspect what happened was that you thought you wanted to wear those jeans but knew you had packed them. Your mind tricked you into thinking that you had taken them out the wardrobe to wear because that is what you wanted to happen.

I've just found my jeans which have been missing since the beginning of September. They were neatly folded in the boot of my car. I assume I put them there when I went to the beach with my niece on a rainy day just in case the trousers I wore got wet and I needed to change them.
