Where the hell did these jeans go?!

Took them out of the wardrobe, turned around and put them on the chest of drawers, answered a text, nipped for a wee and came back and they've gone.

No one else in the house, the room is tiny, definitely not still in the wardrobe or down the back of drawers.

Where the hell are they?!

I think either behind chest of drawers, in the chest of drawers, or they went back in the wardrobe.

Also could be under the bed or in the dirty washing pile

Oddly, I found my missing jeans yesterday. They'd been gone a year. Turned up in a pile of jumpers which were sorted earlier this year and they weren't gone then.

Years ago we lost an iPod after coming back from hols. I turned everything upside down, gave up and got another one. Next time I got the case down from the loft I heard a rattle and there it was. No pockets in the case so I wouldn't have missed it the first time.

Does anyone know where the ironing board was, in the end? Perhaps OP could look there for her jeans.

I think I read on another thread that it was on top of a wardrobe so couldn't be seen.

Professor Solomon says that things aren't lost - they have just temporarily slipped out of sight. Usually within a few centimetres of where they should be but fallen behind something.....

Quoting myself here - but using this principle I recently found a missing trainer in the crisps cupboard.

We lost dds 3ds somewhere in the house and in the end I bought another one. 6 months later we were going on holiday and I said we need to take it. I got dds second one and a 3ds appeared in the middle of the hallway. Dd, dh and I all clearly said we didn’t put it there. It was most odd. So perhaps your jeans have gone to the same place as the 3ds.

I read this and thought you were talking about three grandsons. Your daughter’s 3 darling son’s. I thought that was pretty impressive hiding 😂

I've lost a pair of jeans and dd2s school skirt. Had to go out and replace the skirt using money I don't have atm 😡

Is OP's loo near to the wall in her bathroom?

If the jeans were under her arm, and she sat on the loo, it's possible the jeans are now between the loo and the wall.

I have not ended up in the Bermuda Triangle of jeans! But the jeans still haven’t turned up.

It’s absolutely bizzare! I’m moving at the weekend so everything is neatly packed away and all downstairs. There is literally nowhere they could be that I haven’t seen them!

It was amusing yesterday but now I’m concerned I’m losing my mind!

In which case the jeans will turn up in about three years' time in your random box of printer cables and extension leads

They're maybe in the same place as my new red jumper. I put it on the piano the other day. When I went to get it later, it was gone.
It's still gone.

There in an alternative universe. I've had something similar happen.

My girls had a pair of angel's wings my mum made. They weren't small, covered in tinsel, and were used once a year at Christmas for nativity plays etc. They were always in the cupboard, top shelf, left hand side.
I went to get them one year and they weren't there. Hunted the house for them, asked if they were at school, nothing. My eldest looked as well, they definitely were not in the cupboard.
A few days later, opened the cupboard and there they were, in the correct place they always were, not hidden, perfectly in view.

Now when we can't find anything we look at each other, mutter "Angel's wings" and hope that whatever it is turns up.

I lost my T-shirt 2 weeks ago. I pulled the bed out to hoover today and there it was. Which wouldn't have been so much of a surprise if I hadn't already looked there. So always look more than once. And move the furniture

I had similar, had taken a pair of black and white Converse Hi-tops on holiday with me. When we got back, unpacked suitcase, put everything away. Except - no Converse. I hunted high and low for them and eventually had to reconcile that I had left them in our holiday accommodation, despite that we did room sweeps (you know, you look in each room: under beds, in cupboards, drawers, wardrobes - everywhere gets checked for nothing left behind).

Mournfully I put the suitcase back in the loft. It made thudding noises. I opened it, and there were the Converse. Where I had looked not just first, but repeatedly!

So weird.
