Coq au vin with mash, kale & sprouts tonight. When I can get my arse off the sofa to start it anyway.

Ninkanink · 03/10/2020 13:57

@EternalOptimist7 you can just use vegetable oil. Beef strips in a quick curry would indicate steak as otherwise it would need longer cooking.

mbosnz · 03/10/2020 14:03

Messr's Marks and Sparks are cooking tonight - duck, with potato gratin, braised cabbage, and green medley.

Followed by cheesecake and key lime pie. . .

Tonight me and dh are having lamb shanks slow cooked in red wine, rosemary & garlic roast potatoes , tender stem broccoli, green beans. With a few glasses of red wine. Apple tart, double cream and a glass of fizz for dessert.

mbosnz · 04/10/2020 17:34

Don't you love that feeling, when the house is all nice of a Sunday, ironing done, meal is on, and you sit down with a wine, with cheese and crackers? Smile

badlydrawnbear · 04/10/2020 17:39

Mushroom stroganoff. A quick and easy not-fancy version that was probably originally from a student cook book.

CakeGirl2020 · 04/10/2020 17:54

Tonight we have slow cooked beef stew, roast potatoes, green beans then sticky toffee pudding with extra caramel sauce and cream

PickAChew · 04/10/2020 18:25

Chicken and butternut Squash coconut curry. Just bubbling away, now, and making me very hungry.

SerenityNowwwww · 04/10/2020 19:08

A rather nice veggie curry - it’s simmering away and the smell is lovely!

NancyBotwinBloom · 04/10/2020 20:40

We were chicken lasagne, with salad, and garlic bread. Everyone is currently talking to each other. . .

badlydrawnbear · 06/10/2020 21:17

www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/creamy-lentil-veggie-curry

It made loads, the 4 of us only got through about half, easily adaptable to be vegan for DH, random addition of chopped cucumber sprinkled over it, we all really liked it except DC1 who didn't.
