How many weetabix do you have?

Dd age 13 just had six. I told her a normal portion is 2 (that’s what I would have) and 3 if you are extra hungry. Am I right?

My daughter 11 rarely eat weetabix or cereal in general had 4 this morning! I guessing a growth spurt!
She normally just eats 2 slices of toast or porridge!

NeonBella · 11/09/2020 09:19

3 with banana on top.
I also only have a small amount of (oat) milk so they don't go all slimy. I like them to have a bit of crunch.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 11/09/2020 09:21

2

PickwickThePlockingDodo · 11/09/2020 09:26

My DS 15 eats six too. I've got three teenage boys and they are ravenous most of the time, all slim and fit though. Costs us a bloody fortune.

Wheytaminute · 11/09/2020 09:30

No cereal or milk in this house - yuk

AgeLikeWine · 11/09/2020 09:33

Two, with lots of very cold milk and some fruit. I could eat more, but I have to be disciplined about carbs, or I would be a whale.

SendHelp30 · 11/09/2020 09:33

@PickwickThePlockingDodo this is a glimpse into my future! My boys are 2 & 1 😂

RandyGiles06 · 11/09/2020 09:34

2

NataliaOsipova · 11/09/2020 09:36

2 is a normal portion, surely? Wasn’t there that advert years ago “can you eat 3 Weetabix?” as if it were an achievement? Or was that Shredded Wheat?

Best start saving now Grin

Two. I’ve just turned down my DCs’ request for a third each (they’re 4 and 2)

PatchworkElmer · 11/09/2020 09:48
  1. DH has 3.
SciFiScream · 11/09/2020 09:51

Used to have 2. Now I have 1. With 125ml of milk, 3 spoons of Greek yogurt and 30g of raisins. Mmmm. Yummy.

IHateSuzie · 11/09/2020 09:52

I can quite easily eat 3 or 4 and often do, I then have a small lunch and a decent size evening meal, 2 wouldn't go anywhere near filling me up

chatwoo · 11/09/2020 09:55

Three, usually with some banana slices on top.

hippohector · 11/09/2020 09:59

I know you say she would probably not eat fruit for breakfast but a chopped banana in a bowl of creamy Greek yoghurt and honey on top is delicious. It’s like eating pudding!
My DS has this alongside 2 Weetabix if he is very hungry.

crystaltips98 · 11/09/2020 10:05

Always had 3 since being a small child. With sugar. I'm fairy average size now as an adult

mrsfeatherbottom · 11/09/2020 10:07

2 with a chopped banana and a sprinkling of muesli

Lalanbaba · 11/09/2020 10:09

I have 2 now but I'm on diet. Usually 3.
Toddler has 2 with ff milk and peanut butter. Boyfriend has 5 and puts a spoon of sugar on top

Hardbackwriter · 11/09/2020 10:10

My two year old has two...

HavelockVetinari · 11/09/2020 10:21

2 is normal, 3 if you're extra hungry, 4 if you're a teenage boy!

However, as long as she's a healthy weight and it's not every day then leave her be.

BearSoFair · 11/09/2020 10:23

Two with milk and a banana

I'm sure DS1 had times he got through 6 when he was a younger teen though! He's 18 now and usually has 3 with a banana or some strawberries if we've got them

LoseLooseLucy · 11/09/2020 10:24

I can only manage 2, my 5 year old son will eat 4 (2x servings, he doesn’t like all 4 in a bowl).

SingingSands · 11/09/2020 10:29

I'd leave her alone and let her eat them. She's 13, was probably ravenous and is growing fast. If she is having 6 weetabix every morning then tell her she has to cut down as that's going to work out expensive and not fair on other people in the house. But if it was a one off I would let it slide.

custardbear · 11/09/2020 10:38

2 ... even if I could fit 6 in my tummy, I'd give up through boredom lol 😆
