What has happened to all the tinned sweetcorn

There was absolutely none of any brand earlier this week in tesco. I thought nothing of it but have just been to sainsburys in a different town and none there either. Both seemed to have plenty of fresh sweetcorn.
So is it Brexit, covid, zombies or what?

Couldn’t get any in Tesco either (Scotland), though managed to get Lidl’s own brand.

I thought it was just my luck Op, didn't realise it was an actual issue!

I can buy Lee &Perrins Worcester sauce, soy sauce (all versions} and proper tinned sweetcorn in Tesco (Sainsburys no chance) but I cannot buy any Blisteze for my lips. the Pharmacist at the NHS chemist promised he will try (fed up of me whinging probably) but I have tried everywhere.

I hadn’t been able to find any of the one brand type I liked all through lockdown. Sainsburys finally had it in store last week and I’m sorry but I emptied the shelves. I add sweetcorn to every meal so whilst I haven’t starved I have definitely missed my normal sweetcorn fix

Green Giant avaible in local corner shop, tesco and co-op.
Plain only though none with the mixed peppers

The recall a couple of pps mentioned cleared the shelves of the Green Giant stuff, which presumably had a knock-on effect on supplies of own brand and other labels. I've been able to buy small tins of Green Giant in Morrisons, but I don't stockpile so every week I can see there aren't many left, and the shelves always look pretty bare. Anything that's not Green Giant isn't worth buying, and I resort to frozen if I can't find any.

I have been able to get frozen sweet corn in Lidl, but the last few bags I think have tasted awful, not sweet at all.

I was just wondering what had happened to the tinned sweetcorn too. I miss it.

I've been looking for the Green Giant 'Salad Crisp' variety for ages and not found it anywhere. I miss it

Try Lidl for Worcestershire sauce and corn. Saw both earlier in the week.

I've been wondering this myself thought it was me being weird.

There’s a shortage due to bad harvests interesting, how do you know I've seen nothing on this.

I'm not a fan of frozen at all its very bland.

Plenty of sweetcorn plants in the fields and near us waiting to be harvested. I think that's more likely to be maize than sweet corn

I don't think frozen sweetcorn would work in salad, would it?

I just figured everyone went crazy stocking up in Spring, and the next harvest is still in the fields. There’s sweetcorn everywhere around here!

Buy frozen sweetcorn. Much cheaper

I had the same problem last week with Asda but they're showing as in stock now 🤞🏿

I ordered DH to get some today while I was working and he only managed 2 tiny tins from waitrose. Nothing in Sainsbo.
