@PinkFondantFancy

Tea is gross. Am I allowed to stay??
I agree with you - never liked it, never will

I drink mint tea occasionally - but that's not tea really I guess

@StareyCat, apologies I said friend when it was your relative. Really sorry about it again Flowers

@TrustTheGeneGenie

What's everyone's views on dunking biscuit? To dunk, or not to dunk?
I love dunking - I hate the cup/mess afterwards though Grin

Dunking is ok, but if you lose bits in you're not allowed to fish for them with a spoon

Littlebelina · 12/09/2020 21:21

Not a dunker, hate the soggy bits

Bollss · 12/09/2020 21:21

Ha!! I agree. I dunk but I never finish a cup of tea I've dunked in just in case of rogue soggy biscuit. 4yo ds dunks his biscuits in my tea if I've got one!

LivinLaVidaLoki · 12/09/2020 21:21

@TrustTheGeneGenie
Depends what you're dunking in what....

A fiery ginger biscuit dunked in hot chocolate is one of my favourite things ever.

Oh now that does sound good!

Most often for me it's a bourbon or a dark chocolate digestive in a cup of tea. I don't think I've ever dunked in a hot chocolate!

bakingcupcakes · 12/09/2020 21:23

When my parents first got together my mum dunked a biscuit on her first visit to my nan's house (dad's mum) and was quickly told 'we don't do that here'. It was the start of a wonderful DIL/MIL relationship - not. Grin

justasking111 · 12/09/2020 21:25

The best cup of tea I ever drank was after a long labour with my baby. When it arrived in a green cup and saucer my happiness was complete it tasted like nectar. Could not drink coffee when pregnant weird taste buds.

Today on the drive back from uni. we were both parched, that cup of tea tasted pretty good too.

TheOrchidKiller · 12/09/2020 21:28

I only drink black tea so that is literally off the chart.

Dunking's ok, depends on the biscuit. Biting the diagonal corner off a penguin, dunking one bitten corner & sucking the tea up through the other bitten off corner blew my mind. Gets messy though.

Well, the farm shop talk has sent me searching. I've found somewhere to pick a pumpkin next month, & a walk to do tomorrow. So in a much better mood now. Smile

You have to try it @TrustTheGeneGenie
You won't regret it, I promise.

TheOrchidKiller · 12/09/2020 21:30

Apologies, @StareyCat, not scarey

chocolatesweets · 12/09/2020 21:32

@StareyCat Thanks

@TheOrchidKiller pumpkin picking you are lucky. Our pumpkin picking farm has cancelled this year the selfish buggers have given over their entire property to some tv series with Ant and Dec in it. Grin

BogRollBOGOF · 12/09/2020 21:33

whispers I don't like tea or coffee Shock

Back in my hedonistic youth I would use a twix as a straw in a cup of tea - that got messy too. I am mature now so I wouldn't dream of such shenanigans.

ShoeJunkie · 12/09/2020 21:56

I don’t do tea either.
Strong back coffee all the way.
No dunking.

The penny's dropped! Bloody covid, messing with your pumpkin picking!

@BellaintheWychElm a Twix you say? I wonder if I have some in my secret stash? That's the secret stash that has nothing to do with covid & self-isolation, & everything to do with teenagers that get through food like a plague of locusts unless the good stuff gets hidden.
@2beesornot2beesthatisthehoney I had a relative with severe physical and mental health problems who was locked down with her kids. I did my best to get her proper care, before and after she had hospital treatment (she'd normally have been kept in but wasnt because of covid). She's dead now; she collapsed in her house days after she was refused hospital admission and one of her children found her. Fuck you and your greater good; you're only a handspan away from arguing that working harder at this will make us free.
That's bloody awful I am so sorry about your friend.

I used to love tea and had to have tea furst thing in morning. Now his of my knackered tastebuds I cant drink it without it tasting not quite right. Thankfully I love a good coffee😄

Can't drink red wine or dry white wine though instant headache.

Ginger biccies are good for dunking and good old rich tea.

Where i used to.live there was a field with cherry trees in it. Is it too late for them Now? Might go check and need to go check out brambles too. Love a bramble and apple crumble.

RealityExistsInTheHumanMind · 12/09/2020 22:42

Some wine has just gone down the wrong way

It has made me cough

AIBU to think I don't need a Covid Test?

Or do I have to isolate for 14 days.

I do have enough food in - I can live on beans, boiled rice, cooked pasta (bought as soon as it became available) and I have some porridge oats BUT will anyone help me get more wine.
