Best brand of tea bags?

mummabear1967 · 03/09/2020 09:12

Can anyone tell me what brand sells the best tea? I remember buying tea bags quite recently and it was lovely but I can’t remember what the brand was.

I love tea and it’s so bad when the tea is disgusting.

A good teabag is so important! I seem to always go back to Yorkshire tea. DH bought Marks and Spencers red label and they are really disappointing

Clipper tea. A lot depends on your water, though.

Yorkshire for hard water.

WarmSausageTea · 03/09/2020 10:16

Twinings Strong English Breakfast; I don’t like strong (harsh) tea, but this is lovely, full of flavour. We’re in a hard water area and use a filter.

Punjana by Thompson's. Tea of the gods!

Don’t drink tea, buy Aldi or Lidl gold, seems to go down well with visitors

PuppyMonkey · 03/09/2020 10:51

Yorkshire. Always Yorkshire.

My favourite is the Clipper Tea in the green box.
They are unbleached tea bags so don't look the nicest but the tea is lovely. Strong and refreshing.

Dorset tea bags are a favourite of mine.

Another vote for PG tips

Juanmorebeer · 03/09/2020 10:58

Yorkshire all the way. I'll settle for Twinings EB tea as it is also quite strong.

Pg tips or typhoo just NO. Weak and tepid need to use 2 bags.

FannyFernackerpan · 03/09/2020 11:05

Yorkshire without a doubt and agree with others that PG Tips are shite. Even leaving the bag in for ages or using two bags - they never produce a decent brew.

As a good back up I was surprised to discover that Co-op 99 blend makes a really good cuppa. Not as good as Yorkshire but good enough.

TheHighestSardine · 03/09/2020 11:13

I know it's all totally subjective and literally a matter of taste, but for me Yorkshire (normal, not gold) or Twinings Early Grey (others are too flavoured) and I can barely stomach PG.

But mostly I'm drinking green tea now, Special Gunpowder.

nosswith · 03/09/2020 11:19

Yorkshire tea.

One of the few benefits of climate change- tea was never grown in God's Own Country when I was little.

DannyGlickWindowTapping · 03/09/2020 11:24

Yorkshire, and Yorkshire Decaffeinated for a family member who can't have regular. The decaf is perfectly nice even for caffeine drinkers.
