Alternative to this 80's toy

Does anyone remember the Secret Keeper toys from the 80's/90's? They were an array of plastic animals that you could keep your treasures in, and had a key, little accessories, and a little friend that lived inside. When I was little I had the pink snail, and it was the most magical toy to me.

I loved it so much and I think my daughter would love it too.

Unfortunately it's not one of the toys my parents kept to pass on.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a similar kind of toy currently on the market?

I had those and my parents kept all of my toys! I have the pink snail and the yellow and orange ladybird.
My two DDs play with them now!
But I can't think of any toys similar nowadays.

Can you post a picture of them, I don’t recall these!

I loved these. I had the snail but really wanted the swan. I also had some mini ones with the weird slit in their back to hide things in.

My best friend had the swan, she had a tiara! I was sooooo envious.

My parents kept a few things, including my original sylvanian families which my daughter is loving, but unfortunately they didnt keep these

I saw this one too but the pictures dont show any accessories, or the key, and the description doesnt sag they are included so I was worried it was literally just the snail.

They are on eBay - I recently fell down the nostalgia hole on eBay and lost a good few hours, mainly trying to remember the names of things 😂

Sadly, the keys got lost over the years but DD1 managed to jimmy them with a hairclip (master criminal in the making). DD2 isn't that light-fingered yet

Yeah I kept all my old toys from the 80's- I've got Snugglebums, a Fluppy Dog, sylvanians, My Little Pony's, Keypers. Can't remember them all 😆
I'll maybe sell them one day when my DDs don't want to play with them anymore 😊

I would also go to ebay. I have the snail keyper and baby snail keyper at my parents', plus a Fluppy Puppy, two cabbage patch dolls, a gloworm and all my My Little Ponies! But some other things have mysteriously vanished.... Two snuggle bums, a Popple, a Poochie and a Rainbow Brite among them. Clearly they ran out of loft space! I recently reclaimed my Rainbow Brite via ebay

I’ve got my old sweet secrets! Little round jewels that turned into dolls.

I had forgotten sweet secrets. I had one of them too. That has also vanished!
