He stood me up, now he's texted. Gather round ladies

For those who followed my thread from yesterday about being stood up. Well guess what? He's just texted. Note its not on WhatsApp. Heres what he said "sorry I couldn't make lunch the other day (yesterday!) Something came up I couldn't get out of. If I could've made it I would have"

Classic. Any witty replies?

Who's this?

SunshineOnATrainToday · 26/07/2020 19:41

Where is your other thread OP?

Glitterb · 26/07/2020 19:41

Don’t even bother responding. What an arse!

QuentinQuarantino · 26/07/2020 19:42

Or alternatively, just block.

He hasn't even given a valid reason, just vague blether. He must think you have very low standards.

Lipz · 26/07/2020 19:42

He's a cheeky arse. Didn't he say he was nearly there?

I'd text back who's this then ignore him

Bobbiepin · 26/07/2020 19:42

Oh shit, sorry did we have plans? Must have forgotten.

Yetiyoga · 26/07/2020 19:43

I wonder if you could twist a reply to make it seem you did have a date but with someone else?! 🤣 I saw your thread but hadn't seen it since you first posted!

Or the classic 'sorry, who is this?'

But you almost want something that he will reply to!

FrenchFancie · 26/07/2020 19:43

Wouldn’t signify it with a response to be honest....

SneakyBlinder · 26/07/2020 19:43

I’d say ‘no worries....funnily enough it worked out well! Someone much better looking turned up”

Twat.

ScarlettDarling · 26/07/2020 19:44

I think I read your thread... didn't he tell you he was on his way and then block you on WhatsApp? Don't reply, block him and move on.

OohKittens · 26/07/2020 19:44

The cheek!

HappyHammy · 26/07/2020 19:45

I thought it was next weekend

OhioOhioOhio · 26/07/2020 19:45

Hmmm. I'd say, 'no worries'. I wouldn't want him to think I was so hurt I cared to block him.

user1498572889 · 26/07/2020 19:45

It’s fine. I met someone really nice while I was waiting for you.

OhioOhioOhio · 26/07/2020 19:45

Pps next weekend is better!

JustHereWithPopcorn · 26/07/2020 19:45

If I was you I wouldn't reply at all Grin

Ishihtzuknot · 26/07/2020 19:46

What an idiot! So something ‘better’ came up and he couldn’t even text you at the time! I’d be more wary he was caught by a wife or girlfriend tbh. Either reply ‘wrong number sorry’ or block and ignore. Don’t give him your head space he will mess you around all the time if you let this one slide.

WhosThatGirl89 · 26/07/2020 19:46

Not sure how to link my other thread. Basically, had a 3rd date lined up, booked a table. 10 mins after we were supposed to meet I called him, he said he was a few mins away. Then he didn't turn up and blocked me

OP posts:
mintich · 26/07/2020 19:47

I'd write "no worries" too and never answer anything else again. It'll throw him off that you arent that bothered. What an arse!

Lighteninginabottle27 · 26/07/2020 19:47

I wouldn't reply. He's really not worth your time if he felt it ok to waste yours. Dont block, just ignore. Then you don't look bitter.

FaceOfASpink · 26/07/2020 19:47

Send 🤣 then immediately block him.

SoPanny · 26/07/2020 19:47

THIS.

With “Cheers” at the end Grin

RUOKHon · 26/07/2020 19:48

Just don’t reply. There’s nothing in it for you.

FaceOfASpink · 26/07/2020 19:48

Actually I agree with sending nothing. Silence speaks volumes.
