I am so fed up of this shitshow of a half life we are all living and need cheering up.

I have Netflix and Prime but am struggling to find something to make me laugh at the moment.

It's really really funny ! I didnt like the first episode but after that I was hooked!

Mrsjayy · 19/07/2020 12:07

The good place is funny it's on Netflix. I watch it on ch4 but all are on netflix . It depends what is your usual sense of humour

homemadecommunistrussia · 19/07/2020 12:07

Black Books and IT crowd on Netflix too.

Mrsjayy · 19/07/2020 12:08

I don't get Brooklyn 99 Dh loves it leaves me cold !

efeslight · 19/07/2020 12:10

Taskmaster on Dave channel

elscar · 19/07/2020 12:11

Schitts Creek on Netflix

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 19/07/2020 12:12

DS (17) persuaded us to give Brooklyn 99 a go during lockdown and we've just finished series 5 - it's very funny with a really warm heart to it. Have loved it and I'm difficult to please with comedy.

Twilbury · 19/07/2020 12:27

I have watched all of these other than parks and recreation so I think that will be the one
I love Taskmaster and Black Books the most out of the ones people have said.

The Young Offenders on Iplayer.

CaptainMyCaptain · 19/07/2020 12:55

I think Green Wing is still available on All4. A bit surrealistic if you like that sort of thing.

CaptainMyCaptain · 19/07/2020 12:56

This Country.
Detectorists.
Both on iplayer - more gentle underplayed humour.

Standrewsschool · 19/07/2020 13:26

Shakespeare and Hathaway - BBC iplayer - not laugh out loud but sweet. It’s a Midsommers murder/Death in Paradise type drama set in Stratford Upon Avon. Lighthearted and enjoyable.

Mallory Towers - also on BBCiplayer. Again, not a comedy but a lovely dramatisation if the books. All very innocent. Real escapism. Should have been broadcast on Early Sunday evenings and not hidden away on CBBC. Real family viewing.

The Goldbergs - quite enjoy this.

Standrewsschool · 19/07/2020 13:27

St trinnian films - the original ones and the newer ones.

pepsicola5 · 19/07/2020 13:30

This Country is brilliant
Green Wing is wacky but hilarious
The Office and Peep Show are classics

Muddybootsblister · 19/07/2020 13:32

Staged on iPlayer with David Tenant and Michael Sheen. Loved it.

Mrsjayy · 19/07/2020 15:12

Staged is a real treat I loved it too Smile speaking of Tennant and sheen Good omens on prime is a joy !

Twilbury · 19/07/2020 17:49

I have already watched Staged ( did love it ) And I have seen Omens a while ago.

This plague has clearly given me too much time to watch tv.

I have just watched Hamilton ( not a comedy) absolutely loved it !

But, parks and recreation is next on my list.

Kath and Kim, on Netflix

vampirethriller · 19/07/2020 17:53

Santa Clarita Diet is also very funny but pretty gruesome, on Netflix

Prinstress · 19/07/2020 17:54

Dead To Me on Netflix got me out of a Debbie downer slump during lockdown, so fun I’ve watched it twice.

Serafinapekkalas · 19/07/2020 17:55

What we do in the shadows on iPlayer is my absolute favourite at the moment

Mrsjayy · 19/07/2020 19:04

Oh how me and dd lived Hamilton it was amazing.
