Does any one want to adopt me as their DIL?

I'm already a happy DD but I've temporarily had enough and I fancy a change of scenery. I come with a ready made DGS who is such a lovely and happy boy you won't be disappointed. I'm in my 30s good career very independent but love to spend time with others. I am a relatively good cook and will happily bake some sweet and savoury treats. Baby DS is 7mos and I guarantee will make you laugh and smile. So any takers?

We're made for each other - we both have chocolate in our names. How about it?

ChocolateBlock · 10/07/2020 19:39

Absolutely! We can experiment with some chocolate recipes if you're up for? I feel it is the least we could do to help form a bond.

You would be an ideal DIL for me, and I would absolutely love your little boy, and love anything home baked...but I have 2 DIL's already [4 grandchildren, 3 of them boys] and probably live miles and miles away from you!

It's great your little son is such a happy boy, that your career is going well and I admire independent women [I am one] so I hope someone does adopt you. You sound great!

ChocolateBlock · 10/07/2020 19:46

@bluebird243 thank you! You've made me all warm and fuzzy inside 😊 it sounds like you have your hands full already. I'm South Coast but I'm willing to up sticks for a bit. I love an adventure.

Yeah OP..... I'll share my family choc cake recipe with you.

BlessYourCottonSocks · 10/07/2020 19:51

I'll happily adopt you! I don't have a DiL and secretly think I'd be an amazing MiL as I'm tolerant and fairly cheerful.

I'd be happy with an independent sort like you - I'm still working full time professionally, but I like small children and will do a bit of babysitting if you like. I could spoil him nicely as none of my DCs have yet given me a DGC.

I'm up North, but on the coast too so you could try a different beach!

ChocolateBlock · 10/07/2020 20:03

@acocadochocolate ooo yes please! I don't know how you feel about Bakewell slice or cinnamon chocolate chip buns but they are my forte!

@BlessYourCottonSocks you sound like the perfect adoptive mil. Most don't get to choose theirs but this could work. I'd love to explore up North and a new beach. Babysitting would be gratefully received but is in no way a requirement 😊 if you feed him Mac n Cheese he'll be yours forever 💙

Yes Yes YES! We are definitely made for each other!

messyhouselady · 10/07/2020 20:22

Can you be my DIL if I’m younger than you?

Is that a thing?

ChocolateBlock · 10/07/2020 20:28

@acocadochocolate hurrah! I'll start packing tomorrow. I best get my tins at the ready too.

@messyhouselady I reckon you could but you'd probably need to be a step-mil: the younger model! This is fine. I'm an equal opportunities DIL to be.

I’ll be your SIL? I love baking and our boys can play together; mine are 2 & 11 months!

MrsMoastyToasty · 10/07/2020 20:33

I need a DIL but it's illegal to marry my DS. (He's under age)

acocadochocolate · 10/07/2020 20:33

Yay OP! I'll assemble the ingredients for our famous family chocolate cake!

ChocolateBlock · 10/07/2020 20:34

I did not consider a sil but I'd love that! And it would bring me such joy for baby DS to have two little friends.

OP posts:
ChocolateBlock · 10/07/2020 20:36

@acocadochocolate do I need to bring cream, custard, ice cream or chocolate Bailey's and wine at all? I simply cannot arrive empty handed.

OP posts:
acocadochocolate · 10/07/2020 20:36

I'm excited! You're my first DIL!

acocadochocolate · 10/07/2020 20:37

Green and Black's chocolate ice cream would be very welcome!

razey · 10/07/2020 20:37

Oh but you sound so much fun !
I would love to be your sister in law
I am great at spoiling children and having adventures

Shall we have a picnic ? I ll bring the wine

ChocolateBlock · 10/07/2020 20:38

@MrsMoastyToasty I'm open to being a sil too. You sound far to young to be a mil if your DS is a child.

OP posts:
RedDiamond · 10/07/2020 20:41

I'm on the South Coast. I need a DIL. I can supply wine and I would love a cuddle with your DS. Obligatory stupid nights in after your DS is in bed. You must like gardening or at least lounging on the hammock watching me garden.

When can you get here?

ChocolateBlock · 10/07/2020 20:42

@acocadochocolate noted. I'll stop via Waitrose on the way. I'll pick up a selection of others goodies too. Families need a feast.

@razey great! A picnic is perfect. Are we going 90s "party" picnic food or posh picnic? I will warn you whatever you choose I'm bringing a cheese and pineapple tin foil hedgehog.

I have a friend messaging me about her MIL and the shit she has pulled today. Also has a baby son and lives on the south coast.

ChocolateBlock · 10/07/2020 20:47

@RedDiamond I'm a budding gardener. More a veg/fruit grower than flowers but I'm willing to learn if you will teach me. DS can play in the hammock. He loves a cuddle but you need to watch out as he has perfected the "flailing octopus" recently. I'm currently on mat leave. I'm permanently free until December Grin so can get there whenever - do I need to go left or right of the A3?

OP posts:
ChocolateBlock · 10/07/2020 20:49

@Babs709 I can assure you that's not me but please give her my sympathies Flowers If she wants to join my quest for an adoptive mil you know where I am.
