Having just watched The Dig, how about an Anglo-Saxon burial ship being excavated in Lowbeach? Ok, maybe not . . But a small discovery of ancient treasure would be exciting! Glad you are feeling better, SoMuch, but hope you won't be overdoing it when you go back to work.

SoMuchToBits · 01/02/2021 09:45

Unfortunately Playmo don't do ancient Anglo-Saxons! They have done Egyptians in the past (including pyramids and mummies) but I don't have any...

It's getting difficult to think of new scenarios right now because not much is happening! Grin

I'm working tomorrow, then have a few days off, so hopefully will be ok. I don't really have any control on how busy work will be though, so will have to wait and see!

How about some more dream sequences? Or could restrictions start lifting so people can meet up outside?

SoMuchToBits · 01/02/2021 17:05

I'll have a think. Meanwhile I could always get a Viking ship...

Hello, been to work today. Felt knackered after just walking there, never mind the 12.5 hour shift which followed! But fortunately it was busy but not ridiculous and we actually had enough staff today and some good ones too. Could have been worse. But I am now totally done in! Good thing I now have a few days off. Smile

Good that you have a few days off. I wondered how tired you’d be. Hopefully you can get your strength back a bit over the next few days.

SoMuchToBits · 03/02/2021 09:22

Thanks, petal! I'm not intending to do too much today. Hoping I'll feel less tired by Monday. But at least work wasn't too ridiculously busy, and my boss actually told me to take extra breaks if I needed them. And lots of my colleagues asked how I was and said it was nice to see me back. One of the best things about my job is the lovely people I work with. Smile

Hmm, I may have been doing a bit of shopping on eBay today. And am maybe watching another couple of items up for auction... Wink

OP posts:
petalpower · 04/02/2021 17:06

How exciting! What have you bought?

SoMuchToBits · 04/02/2021 17:43

Ah well, I don't want to give too much away... Wink

Also, ds and I have just been investigating a database. I can now enter all my Playmo people into it and sort by name/set number/theme/hair colour etc, instead of shuffling through loads of loose pieces of paper to check someone's name when doing a scene.

It will all take some time to input the data, but since there's nothing much else to do these days and the weather's a bit rubbish, it will keep me occupied. Norman was the first to be entered of course! Grin

A Playmo catalogue! How perfect! And parcels to expect...

petalpower · 04/02/2021 18:00

I’m sure we’ll all find out in the fullness of time what you have bought!
The database sounds good (but time consuming). Of course Norman would be the first to be entered. 😀

SoMuchToBits · 04/02/2021 18:04

Ah yes, I have plans for these new sets (assuming I win the ones that are for auction, one finishes tomorrow afternoon, the other Saturday evening)! Smile

I have the next 3 days off, so can make a good start to the database. It will be great to have the information in more order!

SoMuchToBits · 05/02/2021 19:23

Oh good, I won this evening's eBay auction! Smile

Now hoping I do ok with tomorrow's...

NoGoodPunsLeft · 06/02/2021 08:15

Ooh intriguing!

Random thought, if your DS has children will they be allowed to play with grandma's toys Grin

SoMuchToBits · 06/02/2021 10:49

Ah, I don't know the answer to that one! Grin Maybe if they're very careful with them. But one or two of the old favourites are now a bit delicate (I'm looking at you, Norman!) so might have to keep out of reach...

SoMuchToBits · 06/02/2021 21:38

Ah good, won my other auction! Now looking forward to receiving some parcels soon.

Having fun with my Playmo database too. We seem to have an awful lot of police though. No wonder most of the Playmolanders are so well behaved! Wink

Spent a lot of time today on database. So many Playmo people!

Work tomorrow, looking forward to trudging there in the snow....

OP posts:
Horsemad · 07/02/2021 22:10

Have you had a lot of snow SoMuch? We've just had light flurries here.

SoMuchToBits · 07/02/2021 22:19

Quite a lot tthe snowoday in East England. Started with about an inch this morning, snowing lightly. Continued snowing lightly but all day, so now quite a good coverage.

Need to get up early tomorrow to trudge to work in the snow...

OP posts:
Horsemad · 07/02/2021 22:27

Just seen the forecast, think we might get a bit tomorrow... 🌨️

SoMuchToBits · 07/02/2021 22:40

I'm not quite sure what my last post was supposed to say to start with! But we have had a fair bit of snow in Suffolk! Grin

OP posts:
Horsemad · 07/02/2021 22:43

😆

SoMuchToBits · 07/02/2021 22:45

And I've been busy with the great Playmo database. Keeping me busy...
