Can I ask how you scent your bathroom?

Sorry to ask.

All the air freshers and reed diffusers I've tried smell very toilet-y. Most are completely overpowering and artificial. They have all been from supermarkets.

I just want a nice, subtle background scent when you walk in, is that too much to ask for?

Any kind of air freshers make me cough & snezze . So i dont use them , unfountnatly i dont even have a window Sad
I do have powerful extractor fan though.
So mine of this helps you Confused
How about some laundry / drier sheets or a jos-stick (sp?)

RaininSummer · 17/06/2020 17:11

I don't really. There is window and for desparate times a cheap spray.

TazSyd · 17/06/2020 17:11

Aldi do lovely (Jo Malone rip offs) reed diffusers and scented candles. I’ve got rose noir in mine at the moment and it’s lovely, not toiletty.

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 17/06/2020 17:12

I don't. I clean it regularly it doesn't need to smell of a perfume, it smells like nothing.

HasaDigaEebowai · 17/06/2020 17:14

Scented candles. Mine are Nuxe and they match my daytime perfume.

stormsurfer · 17/06/2020 17:19

Isle of Skye candle company reed diffusers. All natural and I find them less irritating. I use lemongrass, but there are a lot to chose from.

Patsypie · 17/06/2020 17:20

I normally think diffusers are shit but took a punt on Chase & Wonder. Their candles are the best I've ever had after being disappointed for decades. I have Orangery diffuser in the bathroom and it smells very natural and fresh.

Prettybluepigeons · 17/06/2020 17:20

I keep it clean and open the window a lot.

Diverseduvet · 17/06/2020 17:22

Hopefully nothing.

highlandcoo · 17/06/2020 17:24

Method's rhubarb floor cleaner smells lovely

ritasueandbob · 17/06/2020 17:24

None they're all horrible and make me feel ill. I realise that's my issue but I don't get why you'd want to smell something artificial, see also perfume aftershave and body spray.

LajesticVantrashell · 17/06/2020 17:26

I got a really nice reed diffuser from the M&S apothecary range. The Calm one i think. Smells quite 'spa' like.

anxietrist · 17/06/2020 17:27

I use eau de poop

LordOftheRingz · 17/06/2020 17:27

Eau-de-flatulance

anxietrist · 17/06/2020 17:28

Ha snap @LordOftheRingz you have excellent taste!

Morgan12 · 17/06/2020 17:31

I never knew this was a thing tbh.
I open the window and just clean with flash and bleach.

NancyPickford · 17/06/2020 17:34

Just fresh air. Window is open most of the time.

TheCanterburyWhales · 17/06/2020 17:34

Fresh air and bleach.

MustGetOutofBed · 17/06/2020 17:46

@FedUpAtHomeTroels

I don't. I clean it regularly it doesn't need to smell of a perfume, it smells like nothing.
Ditto. Occasionally it smells of teenage boy, but a quick clean sorts it out.
TheWashingMachine · 17/06/2020 17:47

I hate fake smells

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 17/06/2020 17:48

I don't. The windows are always open & I clean any poo from the cat litter tray as soon as I notice it but other than that I don't do anything. Fresh air & keeping everything clean really is the best way to keep a house smelling fresh.

ARoseInHarlem · 17/06/2020 17:48

I open the window Confused

gnushoes · 17/06/2020 17:50

My OH dumps in there.

dun1urkin · 17/06/2020 17:51

Like pp, we scent our bathrooms with poo, bleach and fresh air. Mainly fresh air.
