It wasn’t wind... it was a baby!

So here’s part 2 (which is crazy to me)

There isn’t really an update as such I should hear today or tomorrow regarding a scan. I’ve got the MW again on Thursday and I suppose this week will be the week of grand reveals.

I’m sorry if I disappear for a day at a time I’m still trying to wrap my own head around this.

Good luck OP! I followed your first thread.

nicsknackered · 01/06/2020 10:44

Good luck for your big week ahead ❤️

wilberforce1 · 01/06/2020 10:45

Good luck ❤️

ToothFairyNemesis · 01/06/2020 10:53

How exciting.

GimmeAy · 01/06/2020 10:54

I would be beside myself if this happened to me. That said, you've missed out on the long wait for a baby. Hope the father takes the news well, though don't be surprised if he's utterly shocked and blames you initially! Sometimes they seem to think we produce babies all by ourselves. Hope scan goes well too. Have you told anyone yet? I wouldn't be able to keep my big mouth shut. I'd need talking down in fairness lol.

My Godchild's Mum didn't know about her until she was 5 months. She felt a bump but figured it was a cyst of some sort so went to the GP who confirmed she was in fact pregnant and it wasn't the menopause. She had had her tubes tied after her second child (then 15), so simply hadn't considered pregnancy. Said baby is now 23.

BestOption · 01/06/2020 10:55

I'm still ridiculously excited for you.

If it's a girl you'll have to call her Wendy! (Windy Wendy) Msybe Fred for a boy. ( Freddy ) as we were all so convinced it was just wind! 🤣

uncomfortablydumb53 · 01/06/2020 10:56

Good luck telling Your Mum. I hope she'll be supportive when she gets over the shock
I found out at the beginning, and even though we were trying it still took a week to get my head around it
You're doing so wellThanks

Lightofthephoenix · 01/06/2020 10:56

Hope all goes well with telling your mother and FWB.

aaalll · 01/06/2020 10:58

All the best OP.

You are clearly a fab mum if you are wanting to make the most of this time with your current child, before everything changes for both of you.

It must all be so overwhelming but throughout youve seemed really measured and (relatively) calm.

MistyMinge2 · 01/06/2020 10:58

I followed your first thread. I really did not expect this outcome. What a shock for you.

Wishing you all the best in the days, weeks and months ahead.

BertieBotts · 01/06/2020 10:59

Good luck OP!

84claire84 · 01/06/2020 10:59

One thing is for sure, your certainly not on your own, you have all of us for emotional support.

This was so meant to be and regardless of how anyone else feels, your going to smash this.

Will you be finding out what your having? Xx

OhioOhioOhio · 01/06/2020 11:00

I am so over invested in this. Hope it gets moved to classics. Op you sound very together.

Prettybubblesintheair · 01/06/2020 11:04

Thanks for the new thread op! Don’t be sorry for disappearing when you need to, while we’re all eagerly following your story and loving your updates you’re a real person and this is happening to you in real life! It’s a lot to wrap your head around! Good luck with the scan and then the big reveals. I think you’re wise to tell your mum first, she can help support you when you tell your ds and fwb.

Hope you’re ok and enjoyed your weekend Flowers

IKEA888 · 01/06/2020 11:09

Have you had a scan ?
or got a date for one?

cravingthelook · 01/06/2020 11:10

Agreed, do what you need to and just update us when you can...

incognitomum · 01/06/2020 11:11

Great to see a new thread. Best of luck Flowers

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 01/06/2020 11:15

I'm trying tot think how to word "Hi, FWB, I'm having your baby in a fortnight. Surprise!" without sounding deranged or duplicitous.

Hopefully your mum will have some good advice!

Moooooooooooooooooo · 01/06/2020 11:18

Awwww, a shock to you, but a lovely story. Reminds me of my first, not quite as far along as you (28 wks) But had been trying for two years so one wonders how the hell we missed it. The birth was upon us before we knew it. A wonderful time. Best wishes to you.

rosecreakybex · 01/06/2020 11:20

Wow! Congratulations and good luck with the conversations!

spiderlight · 01/06/2020 11:20

thunderandsunshine01 · 01/06/2020 11:24
