So here’s part 2 (which is crazy to me)

There isn’t really an update as such I should hear today or tomorrow regarding a scan. I’ve got the MW again on Thursday and I suppose this week will be the week of grand reveals.

I’m sorry if I disappear for a day at a time I’m still trying to wrap my own head around this.

OP posts:

DD2 was a surprise but only at 13/14 weeks. I can’t imagine the shock. All the very best OP Flowers

Scorpio75kaz · 02/06/2020 21:59

Oh my goodness, I remember reading your original post!
Congratulations, hope you’re ok. Xxx

ShinyBadger · 02/06/2020 22:06

Congratulations @Ohshitx - your not alone I have met a few ladies in the same situation, one lady was about 38 weeks and one was 35 weeks. The human body is amazing. Wish you all best and good luck.

NCTDN · 02/06/2020 22:08

How exciting! In some ways you've avoided so much stress by not knowing until now. I hope everything goes well for you and that your little boy looks forward to being a big brother Smile

Polkadotdelight · 02/06/2020 22:15

A relative of a family friend had no idea she was pregnant until she had a sudden urge to push while she was stood doing the washing up. Good job she wasn't on her own in the house! I would never had believed it but we had spoken to her in the street 2 weeks before and she was size 8-10 slim with the tiniest belly. She really did not look pregnant at all. I can't wait to hear when you've had your scan and wish you all the very best.

Scruffyoak · 02/06/2020 22:20

Good luck xxCake

SpillTheTeaa · 02/06/2020 22:23

Sandwich I am too! Grin
My mum didn't find out she was pregnant until about 5 months when she all of a sudden felt a kick. She was grieving at the time so think it just completely crossed her mind. 3 months later my little sister made an appearance! Grin

SpillTheTeaa · 02/06/2020 22:26

No one will think your stupid OP and if they do they're stupid themselves! It is possible for people not to know Thanks

Mrseds · 02/06/2020 22:35

congratulations, a childhood friend of mine was told on a Tuesday she was x amount of months pregnant then had a baby girl on the Thursday!! Happened again on her second but didn’t have the baby until a few weeks later that time x x

SHope · 02/06/2020 22:40

Oh wow congratulations.

I have always wondered if this was true, not knowing if you are pregnant until weeks later and having a normal period throughout with no symptoms.

Hope the scan goes well.

Celestine70 · 02/06/2020 22:42

I have questions. Did you feel baby moving at all, if so what did you think it was? Is this your first? A!so, you don't have to tell people you didn't know just say you didn't want an early reveal. Congratulations x

Blackbear19 · 02/06/2020 22:47

Celestine70 find the thread Something Just Moved in My Stomach!

TheGirlWhoLived · 02/06/2020 22:49

Yeah you could just say you were keeping it a surprise Grin don’t mention it was a surprise for you too...

surlycurly · 02/06/2020 22:51

I'm super excited for you OP. I know it's incredibly daunting but I suspect this baby will be a real blessing 😍

squeekums · 02/06/2020 23:05

I can’t find the words, I’m scared people will think I’m lying about not knowing. Or that I’m stupid for not realising.

I will be honest, people will say this, think this, its been said to my face but you know what, SCREW THEM
You know the truth, thats what matters
Its not your job to make them believe you.

Snaketime · 02/06/2020 23:17

Congratulations OP, hope your conversation with FWB goes well. Dont worry about whether people believe you or not, I know 2 different people who didnt find out they were pregnant until they were 5 months gone. One went to a theme park twice and on rollercoaster whilst pregnant, it happens more often than people think.

Blackbear19 · 02/06/2020 23:28

This is very assertive and good advice.

I know manners / etiquette has it you should tell your FWB and Mum first. But if it's easier you could tell a trusted friend first if it helps to talk it through with someone in RL before you have those awkward conversations.

You must have so many things rattling around in your head. Flowers

Tisahardlife · 02/06/2020 23:28

Just catching up...31 weeks! Wow, congratulations, good luck with telling FWB, your mum and your son Smile

JaniceBattersby · 02/06/2020 23:35

Ah OP, how lovely. I know it must seem overwhelming but you’ll be grand, you’ve got your head screwed on right.

All the best.

Ferret27 · 02/06/2020 23:56

Will this be the FWB first child ? How long have you guys known each other ...how do you think he will take it...
Congrats & goodluck... ?

JudithGrimes · 03/06/2020 00:02

Hope the scan doesn’t reveal any further surprises like twins!

Tinty · 03/06/2020 00:07

Congratulations OP.

squeekums · 03/06/2020 00:27
