Something just moved in my stomach..

I’ve name changed for this.

Something literally just rolled in my stomach, there was a popping sensation and now I swear I have a bump where I didn’t before. Nothing that strange until I mention that I’ve not had sex since November and I’ve had periods since then. But something is moving in my stomach, and not like trapped wind. I’ll get out for a test first thing, but I surely can’t be that many weeks pregnant and not have had a single symptom till now, surely? Please someone tell me I can’t.

Are you still going to book a private scan @op or are you going to leave it? How crazy that you could just find out the sex right now

LadyLeucadia · 27/05/2020 19:59

OP if it makes you feel any better this happened to my SIL, which is kinda of hilarious as she was a dedicated POASer and symptom watcher and she totally missed the signs she was pregnant for 20+ weeks.

Shutupyoutart · 27/05/2020 20:00

Blimey op what a whirlwind of a few days you have had! Such a big shock but congrats I'm sure everything will be grand best of luck for your app hope you are doing ok. X

Oh wow OP I wasn't expecting this!

Congratulations and I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well ♥️

Pebbleinthesand · 27/05/2020 21:05

What a crazy turn of events! This is amazing.

I've had the feeling of a baby kicking before when not pregnant. I Googled it and apparently its called phantom kicks so whenever it's happened since I've always put it down to that but now, after reading this thread, I think I'll keep stocked with pregnancy tests just in case so I can check.

Good luck OP!

OhioOhioOhio · 27/05/2020 21:52

It's so exciting (for all of us). I imagine the scan will make it feel very real.

spotlighton · 27/05/2020 23:50

But.....how did the FWB take it?

Harrysmum2020 · 28/05/2020 01:39

Good luck op and congratulations most interesting thread I’ve seen in ages Flowers

Ohshitx · 28/05/2020 08:10

@spotlighton

But.....how did the FWB take it?
He didn’t yet. I plan to tell him after midwife appointment but before scan. Although I don’t suppose he can come actually. But yeah, that’s that plan.

I can't get over this. What would you have said on Sunday if I told you you'd be seeing a Midwife on Friday!

Blackbear19 · 28/05/2020 09:25

Rockbird - I think most of us would fall over at that thought Shock

Op I think 2020 is going to go down in your life as the craziest year ever. It's a crazy year for most, if not all of us. But yours will be ultra crazy.

Just remember when you tell FWB that he is likely to go into a bit of shock, take a bit of time for the info to sink in.

Any idea how he will take it ?

WellThisIsShit · 28/05/2020 10:07

Well done getting appointments rolling. You must be in shock.

This will all seem such a great story to tell when it’s safely in the past. I just hope you can get to that place as smoothly as possible for you Brew Cake

6demandingchildren · 28/05/2020 11:20

I have been where you are, we never thought we would have a 6th child as husbands had testicular cancer and he was asked about saving sperm before chemotherapy, he declined, I was still on the pill.
Found out around 6 months, poor husband thought I had an affair, our youngest is now 12 and such a lovely boy, we just couldn't imagine life without him.

AsSurprisedAsYouAre · 28/05/2020 11:56

It may vary around the country OP, but I have both an elective private scan and a routine NHS scan booked in the next few weeks and both are allowing 1 person to join me for support, so depending on how you feel and where you are you may be able to have FWB or friend/mum/someone come with you - so it's certainly worth asking particularly given the situation!

Binterested · 28/05/2020 13:50

Crikey OP! I’ve had lots of weird movements this week due to a dodgy stomach and I was sure you were going to say that’s what it was.

I actually had anterior placenta with one of mine so felt very little till v close to the end. I can easily understand how this can happen - I knew because it was assisted conception but otherwise could have missed the pregnancy for quite a few months.

I hope this will feel like good news for you once the shock is over. But that is quite some shock ShockSmile

YummiestBut · 28/05/2020 14:11

Wow! Massive shock ! Good luck OP !
