Something just moved in my stomach..

Ohshitx · 24/05/2020 17:44

I’ve name changed for this.

Something literally just rolled in my stomach, there was a popping sensation and now I swear I have a bump where I didn’t before. Nothing that strange until I mention that I’ve not had sex since November and I’ve had periods since then. But something is moving in my stomach, and not like trapped wind. I’ll get out for a test first thing, but I surely can’t be that many weeks pregnant and not have had a single symptom till now, surely? Please someone tell me I can’t.

Congratulations OP! What a crazy little story to tell your future son/daughter! Best of luck for the rest of your pregnancy :)

Taddda · 26/05/2020 15:22

we went for a big walk this morning as usual and I really struggled, my stomach was tight and bloody heavy.

Hi OP Flowers, I hope your managing to get your head around all of this, what a shock for you!

Just a quick one really, do you think you could give the midwives a little call and explain what your feeling (tightenings/heavy?) The anterior placenta make sense with you only just feeling some movements now, but might it be possible that your further along than the November date? Friday must seem like a long way off...!

lachy · 26/05/2020 15:52

Hope you're starting to get to grips with everything @Ohshitx Flowers

I agree with @Taddda, please mention how you're feeling to your midwife (hopefully you'll get to speak to one of them before Friday)

I had an anterior placenta with DD and didn't feel much in the way of kicks at all, it was only when she turned from being breech to head down that I started to feel her more, and I was probably around 28 weeks at that point.

Sorocknroll · 26/05/2020 16:09

Were you seeing your FWB alot before the final time in November?

I only started to feel really tight and heavy when I was about 7.5 months with my second and she was massive

Meandmyhamsterheadagain · 26/05/2020 16:17

Congratulations to you! A big shock, but as you say, you're not, not happy.

Sending you lots of love and strength for the next couple of months.

Hope the FWB takes it well x

MsCRobinson · 26/05/2020 16:36

Ah...I had exactly the same thing.
Before beong diagnosed... with a hernia.

Maxineputyourredshoeson · 26/05/2020 16:43

I just wanted to wish you well OP, it must be a huge shock to get your head round Flowers

NoWordForFluffy · 26/05/2020 16:43

If you're worried about movements now you know, you should go to your antenatal department for a scan (or ring EPAU abs explain the situation). I'm pretty sure you'd be scanned ASAP.

Good luck and congratulations!

Did you also have the positive pregnancy test?

What about after you'd read the whole thread?

Lochroy · 26/05/2020 16:56

Love this - still a lot of hernias and wind about Grin

Congrats OP and all the best for Friday.

I didn't realise pg tests were still effective so far into pregnancy! (Thought the hormone which registers on the POAS tests dropped off after a while, which I learned on here, that'll teach me!)

LittleBoyJuly2020 · 26/05/2020 16:56

Wow, what a shock! My bump only really popped at about 29 weeks, before that I could have gotten away with just thinking I had gained weight. Must be a crazy time for you but good luck!

Did we get another 'it's a fart'...!?
This made me laugh so much last night, I didnt realise how many people don't rtft..or even take a glimpse at the few previous posts, or number of pages....!

burritofan · 26/05/2020 19:19

Ahhhh! I read this thread when it was just a handful of replies saying: fart fart fart fart, and I thought, "fart". How joyful to see it pop up in active threads and learn it wasn't a fart! Sometimes 15,000 MNers can be wrong!

Good luck, OP! Please name the baby Bart.

KittenVsBox · 26/05/2020 19:37

Just a thought: did you need to do a pregnancy test before the depo? That might help you date things.
