Something just moved in my stomach..

Ohshitx · 24/05/2020 17:44

I’ve name changed for this.

Something literally just rolled in my stomach, there was a popping sensation and now I swear I have a bump where I didn’t before. Nothing that strange until I mention that I’ve not had sex since November and I’ve had periods since then. But something is moving in my stomach, and not like trapped wind. I’ll get out for a test first thing, but I surely can’t be that many weeks pregnant and not have had a single symptom till now, surely? Please someone tell me I can’t.

I'll be honest, I was going to tell you you were being ridiculous to be worried after protected sex so long ago and every mother gets phantom kicks. Wow! What a shocker. Did you really have no other inkling? No other symptoms? No sickness? Good luck with the doctors/midwives! Sounds like you don't have long to go, how exciting. I suppose, if you wanted a baby, a short easy pregnancy is a dream!

Blackbear19 · 26/05/2020 01:27

Op CongratulationsFlowers

Hope you are doing ok and dealing with the shock. I hope you have managed to get RL support.

As for the silly bint going on about drink. She needs to find somewhere else to vent.Op has enough to worry about just now. Btw more babies are conceived after a bottle of wine than there are after pots of herbal tea Grin

zombiepara · 26/05/2020 01:29

Blimey, congratulations OP! Good luck with your phone calls tomorrow to the gp and midwife, and to the father..

Wow just RTFuckingT amazing! I've had gas bubbles that felt like a baby but never thought that it could actually be a baby! Congrats OP

Buttybach · 26/05/2020 02:00

Do you have heavy periods
I have this with endometriosis

92anna · 26/05/2020 02:17

@contonsmum, Nope, that was never the case. Pregnant women only need to be shielded if they have heart disease.

Taddda · 26/05/2020 03:07

Oh, and definitely this- I'm really glad I wasn't the only one who thought that post was totally inappropriate- !

nathanielssister · 26/05/2020 05:13

Congrats OP ! You're due at the same time as me. Not in the slightest bit envious that you've had no symptoms until now, honest sore hips, massive belly and insomnia, arghhhh

No need to panic though. It's a huge shock (a great one though!) but you've got time to get ready, and you have been through pregnancy before so you know what to do re. childbirth and looking after a newborn. You'll be fine. Can't wait to see what your DS and FWB say! Hope they're delighted. Agree it's a good idea to checked out by a doctor first before telling anyone so that you know everything's ok.

BTW I'm no expert but I've read that the odd drink in the first 3 months (before the placenta takes over) won't do much harm so please don't worry about your NYE boozing. It's nature's way of protecting the baby for situations just like this. No doubt someone will be along soon to proclaim that I'm wrong, but it's not like you've been necking vodka every day. There's every chance that your baby is absolutely fine. Please take care and above all, keep us updated!!

CrazyTimesAreOccurring · 26/05/2020 05:51

😁😁 @Buttybach bit late to the party

Crashmaya · 26/05/2020 06:39

Wow. Congrats. You'll smash it!

Drama123 · 26/05/2020 06:53

Congratulations OP!
I read the thread yesterday and came back to it this morning.
Will you keep us posted, wishing you all the best Flowers

Aglet · 26/05/2020 07:19

Wind.

Blackbear19 · 26/05/2020 07:21

Aglet at least read the last page of a thread.

The Wind, has feet!

NatalieH2220 · 26/05/2020 07:23

Wow what a shock! Congratulations. I hope speaking to a Midwife today will help put your mind at rest.

Dutch1e · 26/05/2020 07:25

Aglet

Yes, probably wind. And also 6 months pregnant.

OP, just another message of support. You're going to be just fine, please be as kind to yourself as possible, what a week! Flowers

genius1308 · 26/05/2020 07:37

Congratulations op. I didn't find out I was pregnant till I was nearly 5 months. It wasn't planned (At all) and was a huge shock. I'd also drank over Christmas and New year. Had 'periods' every month and didn't have 'a bump' I went on holiday at nearly 6 months and wore a bikini and no one was aware (I was a size 8 at that point...not any more 😫). Baby came early and weighed 4lbs, so was small. I've got to say it messed my head up for quite a while. He's a teenager now so I've definitely got over it 😉. Make sure you talk things through with whoever you can, I just buried my head in the sand and was in total denial.

Friendsofmine · 26/05/2020 07:44

Congratulations. Wasn't a worm after all!

Have you got friends or family who might be able to support you? I guess if they didn't know you were having a friends with benefit situation and thought you were dating it might be a little more tricky but you could say you broke up?

Eyelashe · 26/05/2020 07:49

Just seeing that this thread is 5 pages should give the "I never RTFT" tribe an inkling that it probably isn't wind.
Congrats OP x

Boomclaps · 26/05/2020 07:54

@Ohshitx seriously don’t worry. As I’ve said I didn’t find out until 3 months & I got pissed a Christmas too. Midwife said risk is negligible unless I was having 10 bottles of wine a week etc

Wow.... Plot twist. Genuinly did not see that coming.

Congratulations 😊

lovewatchingrainfall · 26/05/2020 08:20

I followed the thread from the start and I just wanted to see how you were feeling this morning, it must have and still is such a huge shock for you. And a lot to get your head around in such a short space of time, then there there will be the people you need to tell and will be the questions after like didn’t you know etc. Take each day at a time and good luck. How do you think your Ds will be about being a big brother?

ilovesouthlondon · 26/05/2020 08:26

Were so blessed that you read it properly and put us right. I thought people generally took pregnancy tests to confirm these things but I didnt read the whole 20 pages so missed that journey!

ilovesouthlondon · 26/05/2020 08:29

@ Collision theres a particular thread for pregnancy too so no need for you to swear FfsHmm

Wecandothis99 · 26/05/2020 08:32
