Small business on amazon luxx creations do a lime basil madarin dupe of jo Malone and it's lush.

ErrolTheDragon · 24/05/2020 06:52

I hope you like it, @Bottomplasters. Like all glycerine soaps, make sure you keep it on a drained soap dish.

I noticed when I was checking they weren't charging more now they do some unscented ones including an oat variety which a PP might be interested in (I've never tried those).

Agree re Aesop, it's so lovely but crazy money.

Pricy but more affordable is the Yorkshire soap company. They do some really gorgeous soaps, not drying at all and smell so lovely, they do go down quite quickly though Hmm

I often buy them as gifts, they come beautifully packaged too. Cupcake soaps are a delight to look at but for use I prefer the wrapped bars:

I treated myself to a bottle of Aesop when I had a bit of spare cash one brief time, it now lives in the top cupboard where the kids cant reach it (like to fill the sink with bubbles when left to their own devices) and only comes out for guests.

Aesop www.cultbeauty.co.uk/aesop-reverence-handwash.html
The little granules are amazing!!

newtb · 24/05/2020 07:10

No longer available but Roger & Gallet carnation. My late aunt/godmother used it and I loved it when I was little

AllTheCakes · 24/05/2020 07:10

I love the Aesop one with the bits in. Like a soap and scrub in one. Smells amazing.

newmumwithquestions · 24/05/2020 07:20

Just looked at buying Aesop soap as so many of you recommended it. It is made with palm oil - so disappointing as for that money they could/should be paying for an alternative.

So I’d stick to my usual. Highly recommend friendly soaps. Ethical, uk company and smell great.

Of the ones I’ve tried:
L’Occitane almond milk bar soap. The liquid ones are way too expensive for what they offer- £12 for a refill pouch IIRC. NOT worth it.
M&S flower scented liquid hand soap and moisturizer dispensers. Used to love them as gifts. But now I’ve given up on M&S.
Nesti Dante big bars. Great fragrances and in Italy you can get them from Oviesse clothes store for €3.99.

Now the ones I buy:
Nivea cucumber bar.
Le Perlier freesia or lavender bars and liquid. Nice packaging, too.
Palmolive so the guys don’t smell of flowers.
Pears BUT the quality has gone down now it’s made in India.

The one I’m pining for was a special from Lidl recently. Pink liquid with a bicycle on it. Can’t remember the name. Everybody who used it commented how nice it was.
Boo boo. Plenty more to try out there.

Sgtmajormummy · 24/05/2020 07:41

Found it. Apple and rhubarb “Romance” from Lidl!

Molton Brown Orange and Bergamot

Somanysocks · 24/05/2020 07:44

Scottish soap company, au lait

I read that as 'olé' 😁

puppymouse · 24/05/2020 07:50

Has anyone found a liquid one that doesn't make your hands dry out? All of us here are struggling and no hand creams are touching the sides Sad

SiaPR · 24/05/2020 07:50

I really wanted to buy some Liberty bar soaps, but no fuckers are telling me which ones are good @EdwardsNewJumper

Toomuchgoingon · 24/05/2020 11:22

I love Fortnum & Mason Rose and Pomegranate

TheGirlWhoLived · 24/05/2020 11:26

I like the lush bars, thought I wouldn’t be the only one! Makes the bathroom smell delicious too

beesbeesbee · 24/05/2020 11:29

Dudu Osun black African soap, it's taken me 50+ years to find one that doesn't make my eczema flare up thanks to a recommendation on here. At £8 for 6 it's not budget busting either.

KrakowDawn · 24/05/2020 11:34

We use method, mainly because it doesn't dry out our hands.
I like the pink grapefruit and summer one best.

TSSDNCOP · 24/05/2020 11:54

Melton Brown pink peppercorn

Scruffyoak · 24/05/2020 11:57

I honestly prefer the cheapest one
Been using tesco value!

lazylinguist · 24/05/2020 11:59

I don't use liquid hand soap. My favourite bar soap is Nesti Dante. I buy a selection pack of the smaller bars from Amazon. The big bars are too big for my soap dish, and anyway I like changing fragrance more often!

Livingthecovidaloca · 24/05/2020 11:59

Bar of The White Company Seychelles soap.
