Scottish soap company, au lait

Floralnomad · 23/05/2020 23:24

I generally use L’Occitane .

JW13 · 23/05/2020 23:28

100% Aesop - expensive but lasts ages and I love the smell.

Having said that we've been using a foaming Method anti-bac one recently and I like that for day to day. We have coconut but they have different fragrances. The texture is nice (I have a thing against sticky liquid soaps)!

Pootle40 · 23/05/2020 23:31

Noble Isle

WhenItIsOver · 23/05/2020 23:31

Waitrose Essentials unperfumed liquid soap, it was £1 last time I bought it. Can't bear smelly hands or the transfer of perfume to my tea cup.

I have tried many over the years and I used to buy hand made soap bars until the person who made them gave up. Her oat soap was exceptionally good and I never found a replacement.

Notso · 23/05/2020 23:32

I love Nesti Dante soap, I started using it in the shower and found I didn't need to moisturise afterwards.

Also I really like Sanex bar soap, the smell reminds me of clean babies and Pears reminds me of my Grandma.

Loccitane verbena or almond
Or Molton brown pink pepper pod

BaronessBomburst · 23/05/2020 23:35

Andy Tauer Mandarines Ambrees or Majestic Tuberose.

Herpesfreesince03 · 23/05/2020 23:37

Well after i read about Occitane in a Mumsnet classics thread last night (what posh items do you put out to impress guests) I’m dying to try that. Had not heard of it until last night

CountFosco · 23/05/2020 23:37

Anything triple milled. Asquith and Somerset soaps are my favourites, also love Scottish Fine Soaps.

ElectricTonight · 23/05/2020 23:38

Still the cheapest one on the shelf. I do like pears soap.

Davros · 23/05/2020 23:38

Edwardsnewjumper thanks for the idea. I've got a liberty loyalty token so I think I'll buy some soap. Fig is my favourite too!

krispycreme · 23/05/2020 23:43

We normally have Molton Brown or from the supermarket I'll get the same as @Wearywithteens . The kids get the carex sweet ones which they love. I'm not really into spending lots of money on this type of thing so even if I was a billionaire my soaps wouldn't change.

NightScentedStocks · 23/05/2020 23:46

I used to love Crabtree and Evelyn Aloe Vera and Goatmilk. Glycerin and the triple milled one. Such a shame they closed down

copperoliver · 23/05/2020 23:48

Jo malone freesia and pear. X

AMostExcellentStick · 23/05/2020 23:48

I'd stick with goat milk soap - lovely scents, really kind to your skin (my hands were cracked from washing so much at the start of lockdown, this had them fixed in a couple of days), gentle on eczema. Small (one woman) business, made in the UK.

Aesop for sure. Do like the Liz Earle hand soap too.

Nixen · 23/05/2020 23:55

Currently Neals Yard which I love. Also have had Method and JM before. Fancy buying some Aesop now...

Faith in Nature Rosemary soap

WhenItIsOver · 23/05/2020 23:58

Actually, L'Occitane Bonne Mer lavender is very nice, I used to put it in my drawers until I discovered it was making me sneeze. Used to buy it on Ebay, some good deals on there.

charlielimacharlie · 24/05/2020 00:04

Noble Isle heather honey

Letsnotargue · 24/05/2020 00:04

Ren Atlantic Kelp. It’s delicious but I can’t justify the £££ to wash mud off my hands after gardening etc.

MuseumOfYou · 24/05/2020 00:25

I like Arran, particularly After the Rain.

Bottomplasters · 24/05/2020 01:00

@ErrolTheDragon just ordered loads from tiger muffin, I really want to support local. Business as much as I can at present time. I hope it's amazing!
