Oh yes within 2 minutes of me being demented, my neighbour put a massive PA in his front garden and we've all been deafened by Wartime Radio for the last 53 minutes, and counting. Why why why.

Yeah, I just freeze them whole. They look funny when defrosted but are just fine, probably full of salmonella and botulism and e.coli, but I'm a murderer and thus impervious to such ills. I have a load of eggs, too, as a friend who has chickens trades them with me. She handed some to me over her front fence. I'm going to put them in the kindness box/phone box, though, as because she did that she and I will probably be dead by Monday.

I need to get off to go spree killing for a two hour walk. On the way I'm going to insult all those working 'on the frontlines' by breathing.

Then I'm going to drink a lot of non-essential wine after dinner. Might even cadge one of DH's rollies, what the hell, I'm going to die soon anyhow and go to hell for murder.

Alsohuman We'll Meet Again, It's a Long Way to Tipperary and You'll Never Walk Alone, so far.

The last one didn't meet such rapturous applause, given most people round here are not greatly fond of Liverpool FC.

I’ve muted a few people on FB, though most of my friends tend to be of the “look at my banana bread” variety, rather than the “you’re all serial murderers” variety.

Bloody hell, VE Day has brought out all the ‘it was worse in the war’ dementors. All we’re being asked to do is ‘stay the fuck at home’ type messages.

I have enjoyed reading this thread, it is very cheering and encapsulates much of what I have been thinking about so many of the covid/dementor type posts. People go off on one for all sorts of strange reasons. I think I would give bingo points for 'ffs' or even 'FFS' (caps to give more emphasis!) after a dementor point of order.
I am old, fat and have high blood pressure. I intend to enjoy the rest of my life (as far as possible), and that does not include hiding away in my house for months or years. I get really fed up with the ageist posts on MN who talk about people over 60 (or even younger sometimes) as if they are all gaga and can't make judgements for themselves. If I get coronavirus and it kills me, so be it, but I would be judged as selfish for saying this. With a dementor you can never win!

We are hoping to pick up fish and chips for tea tonight form a takeaway. They're doing online orders then you pick it up. It seems very busy though, only a few times left so might need to leave it to next weekend boo

Orange I was thinking fish and chips too but the wait time is crazy already. I might opt for Chinese takeaway instead, my local one opened back up this week.

Saw someone moaning about the local VE street parties on Facebook even when it was pointed out that people are just sitting in their front gardens and not mingling. "You're not supposed to be having social gatherings!"

i tried that before. When defrosted they looked decidedly dodgy! Do you separate them? You can whisk them before freezing.
