The Book People - orders following closure?

Just wondered if anyone else ordered in their closing down sale and has received their order? I hear that people's orders are all being completed, but with very long delivery dates due to fewer staff packing during lockdown as well as being in administration/closed. The guide is 7 weeks (which I knew when I ordered), and I'm just trying to guage how accurate this is

I ordered on the 21st March.

Ordered in March received the books fairly quickly and still waiting for the other stuff which is for dds end of July birthday. Fingers crossed

Did you get dispatch emails or did they just... appear?

I ordered at the end of March. A few days ago I got an email telling me that about 2/3rd of my order wouldn't be included (presumably went out of stock before they got round to me) but no refund yet for those items. Nothing's arrived. I was in no hurry though and the estimate was 5 weeks so still just about within that time anyway.

After 9 1/2 weeks, I've finally recieved my dispatched order email! Yey!
I did order some things which was for my daughter's birthday 2 weeks ago but never mind!

I placed one order on 12th March and another on 24th. I received 2 books from 24th order a few days later bit haven't received anything else. I emailed but got no response. Even a generic email would be nice!

So sad to see this business close. The prices for their book collections were unrivalled and helped me keep my book worm DC fuelled! Hopefully scholastic will keep going. I'm sure book sellers must be getting more orders since lockdown.

I ordered on 4th March and got my delivery on 30th April, so a little outside the 7 weeks.
Oddly, it seemed to be escalated every time I sent them an email (might be coincidental) It also got stuck for a week showing "waiting for your parcel" at Hermes, who are usually very fast round here.

I'm very sorry they went bust. I loved them.

Ordered 4th March, no delivery or notification it's been despatched or anything. That's 9 weeks!

I didn't know they were closing down - what a shame :(

I ordered on March 3 and I'm still waiting.

It's such a shame they won't be around anymore. They have deleted their social media pages.

I ordered in February and got it last week. I didn't think it would ever come but it did eventually. Got some amazing things really cheap

It’s such a shame I loved them and ironically surely they would have done well during corona time!

I ordered a while back, received a small part of my order, got an email a couple of days ago saying they would not be sending the rest. No refund as of yet.

I got mine! Almost all there, 2 items missing and promised a refund

Received mine last week after ordering in March. Paid by paypal so wasnt worried. I am so sad they have closed, have been buying there for 15 years or more

I used to shop from them all the time when DC were small, and occasionally - up to last year for pressies. What a shame

I ordered, can't remember when, and got them in 2 batches. The very cheap ones took longer.

One is crap and I wanted to return it but I've emailed 3 times to the customer care address given on their page and had no response.

I received a parcel this morning. Two items (£2) of a £25 order dated 21st March. Nothing to say if the other items are on their way or if I will get a refund. Still hopeful though!

I’m still waiting for an order placed on 21 March. Have emailed but heard nothing back. Hoping it arrives at some point. It’s gifts for my daughter’s party bags (birthday not until December though )
