The Book People - orders following closure?

Just wondered if anyone else ordered in their closing down sale and has received their order? I hear that people's orders are all being completed, but with very long delivery dates due to fewer staff packing during lockdown as well as being in administration/closed. The guide is 7 weeks (which I knew when I ordered), and I'm just trying to guage how accurate this is Grin

I ordered on the 12th of March and it arrived on the 14th! Which I hadn't planned for as we were in holiday and I assumed it would take a long time as per the message on their site. But I guess I got in early enough!

It was a while a go but post closing down sale, my order took a month which I think was the guide time then so I’m guessing their guide time is accurate.

I ordered on the 4th March and the 23rd March. Random bits from the 23rd order have turned up. I think they are just swamped

I also ordered in March. 2 arrived quickly. Another 5 or so items are still not here. Tbh I’ve forgotten what I ordered now!

I ordered in the middle of February. I received two of the books a couple of weeks later and nothing since. I had a dispatch email three weeks ago for the rest of the order but the tracking link doesn't work. I have given up hope of it ever arriving now.

I hadn’t realised that the book people were closing. What a shame. I’ve bought many, many books and cards and whatnot there over the years.

Frustrating as well as you can't log in anymore either.
I did send an email last week but still waiting.

WellTidy It was a bit of a shock - administration before Christmas and I think we were sll hoping someone would save them, but closed by March.

I went in for one last hurrah order!

Such a shame they are closing. I got an order form about a month ago . My mum used to order us packs of books for Christmas. I got the True Blood ones!

I ordered and got mine. Took longer than the estimated time. I asked them about it and it turned up a few days later

Similar here. I placed an order mid March & it's arriving in dribs & drabs. It's mostly Christmas presents so I'm not in any rush.

I ordered before they announced they were closing down. Delivery at the time was 4 weeks. Then they announced they were closing and delivery would increase to 7 weeks . I finally received my order last week after 9 weeks! I am in Ireland though not UK so maybe a bit longer due to that. As mentioned above they were such bargains I didn’t mind the wait too much.

ordered march 20th & arrived yesterday.... according to the email its all there but I haven't opened it yet !

Ordered mid March, half of the order arrived about 2 weeks later, the other half only arrived yesterday
