Definitely grey, maybe with a mustard accent (pop of colour Envy)

Geometric lines

Glossy surfaces in the kitchen

None of these are to my taste, though!

Lardlizard · 04/05/2020 13:40

I actually think the grey is going and more people are maximalising and getting a million houseplants

Grasspigeons · 04/05/2020 13:43

Dark blue or dark green wall
Geometruc shapes in paint
Jewell colours

Lardlizard · 04/05/2020 14:10

Yes agree with the dark blue and dark green and jewel colours and geometric, I think the all grey will go out soon

Houseplants. I am very into plants and have noticed a lot of newer people wanting to add them indoors

Whitney101 · 04/05/2020 14:37

Kitchens with slogans! “This kitchen was made for dancing” in kitchens of people who clearly never dance, not even on a dance floor. Lots of big words plastered on kitchen walls.

Everything feels very “over” decorated right now. Just calm down people! We’ve got a relatively bland house but it’s got a few nice touches instead of every corner having a plant or a cliche picture.

lemonsandlimes123 · 04/05/2020 14:38

Grey was in about 8 years ago, as were the dark colours you are referring to. There have been about 3 trend cycles since then!

MrsJoshNavidi · 04/05/2020 14:40

Anything grey or beige. Horrible. I like colour.

MagnificentMillie · 04/05/2020 14:41

Panelling, Mexican tiling, green and velvet mustard sofas.

MagnificentMillie · 04/05/2020 14:42

Black taps, shower heads etc, pink tiles, plants. Bored of it already.

Spied · 04/05/2020 14:43

Jungle and animal prints cushions. Lots of green and gold.

WoeIsMee · 04/05/2020 14:44

I’ve just ordered a very dark grey kitchen. I can see it being repainted in a few years 😂

chunkyrun · 04/05/2020 14:54

lucialou · 04/05/2020 14:58

Grey is still everywhere but i am seeing a lot more creams, browns, beiges around again
House plants, especially those ones that kind of ‘drape’ over the end of a shelf, not sure what they’re called!
Navy blue- often mixed with pale/blush type pink or mustard
Teals and emerald greens
A certain style of furniture I keep seeing everywhere- not sure if it’s an Art Deco type look?

MagnificentMillie · 04/05/2020 14:59

Hairpin leg furniture.

Happygirl79 · 04/05/2020 15:00

I hate grey
Its so over
Pastels are making a come back
Also strong colours.. Navy blue. Emerald green and Mustard yellow

StormBaby · 04/05/2020 15:03

Maximalist, so dark jewel colours, patterns, gold frames, animal prints, parquet floor(has been in fashion for a while now), luxurious fabrics, modern twists on old products so fake animal furs, tiffany style lamps, leather topped desks.

LoveRainbow · 04/05/2020 15:06

Plants are very in at the moment, indoor plants that is. The Scandinavian look of fresh cut lines, wood surfaces and minimalist (again with green plants for colour). I saw a picture today of dark green with gold accents in a living room which I quite liked. Seems like gold is in now too.

lemonsandlimes123 · 04/05/2020 15:07

Seriously this all just sounds like an explosion in a Oliver Bonas shop!

MagnificentMillie · 04/05/2020 15:08

It does
