Whats the most shocking thing an ex did that prompted you to end things

Reading another thread has reminded me of an ex who I ended things with when I caught him in the kitchen, naked having sex with a melon and to make it worse he asked me to take a photo to send to a girl in his office, as he said she would find it funny!

Just wondering, outside of cheating what other strange behaviour prompted you to end things.

Telling me he would love me to wear a school girl uniform in the bedroom.
I didn't end things immediately between us but it drove a wedge between us as I found it downright creepy.

It had been in the early stages but at that point I was already completely smitten with him and wanted to give it a chance. My friends thought it wasn't such a big deal but I couldn't leave it past behind me.

Said that his fantasy was to take Coke and have sex all night while DS1 was at his parents for thr first night ever. Suddenly I realised what his priorities were and I realised I didnt want to be with someone like that.

Tell me that he'd got his ex pregnant and was leaving me the week after we got engaged. He watched me literally fall to pieces in front of him for an hour before telling me it was a 'joke'.

Not as bad as these but the final nail in the coffin of years of EA and FA, he told some of his family how HE was going to spend MY inheritance. My dad wasn't even dead yet and apparently I had no say in how any money may be spent.

On the plus side, my father hung on for 9 more months and passed away peacefully 2 days after my divorce and financial arrangements were finalised. He couldn't touch a penny. I also ended up inheriting 3 times the amount he told his family!

Disappeared all night and most of the next day. Finally came home with a giant lovebite on his neck which he’d apparently acquired during a drinking game Hmm he couldn’t understand why I didn’t believe him

Sat me down and lectured me about why his job was so important and how I wasn’t being supportive (despite him shagging an intern). I got up and silently walked out. Left behind a couple of nice dresses, but that was a small price to pay for my dignity.

He was suffering with dementia, multiple strokes, altzeimers....not sure if he 'knew' or if the timing was just coincidence. I like to think he knew.

Gleefully told me how he had picked his brother up by the shirt and physically thrown him out of the house because he accidentally spilt some water near (not on) his collectables. I realised that if our relationship was to progress to the next level and move in together it would one day be my children who were being physically removed.

Ex made dents in the heavy bathroom door with a stone Buddha statue. It was the only room I could lock. I stayed a while after that as it was a little complicated to extract myself but I used to touch those dents as I passed a lot. It was completely over that day.

In a fit of rage and cruelty, he told me that he went to a lapdancing club on our honeymoon, 9 years previously.

The look of "Oh, shit, have I just said that?" was the best part about it.

He was the worst narcissist I have ever known.

I am now married to the most kind, gentle and loving man I have ever known.

I should have finished with mine before the melon incident, he was did some pretty awful things, like saying he was too busy to go on holiday with me and then taking the girls in the office away for a weekend, and sending me photos of the trip

Sent his mum- his mum for ffs- round to my house to try and get me to lie to the insurance company that he was doing no more than 30mph when he crashed the car (we left the road, half the car stayed in the tree we hit, I am still amazed we did not die 20 years on and anyone who thought we would get away with saying he was doing 30mph rather than 80mph is a fecking nugget). Added to the fact that in the immediate aftermath he had pretended to be passed out/ dead in his seat when I was screaming his name in a panic, it was pretty much the end of the relationship.

Found out he had forged my signature on a bank loan for £5k and was involved in money laundering as part of the family business. I am starting to realise why binge watching Ozark last month really stressed me out.

My DM was in hospital really ill and I had a go at my Ex that he wasn't there for me whilst my DM was in hospital sick. He told me his mum had just been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and that's why and how sorry he was, obviously I was upset for him and her. Two weeks later when I asked about chemotherapy/radiotherapy and what treatment plan she was on, what stage her cancer was at etc. He told me the hospital called the day before to say the results had been mixed up 🙄🤔 yeah sure they did. Bye bye Liam the Liar 👋🤥 I also hacked in to his emails and he had been in a relationship when we started dating and dumped her when we got serious - a real nice guy!
