Whats the most shocking thing an ex did that prompted you to end things

Reading another thread has reminded me of an ex who I ended things with when I caught him in the kitchen, naked having sex with a melon and to make it worse he asked me to take a photo to send to a girl in his office, as he said she would find it funny!

Just wondering, outside of cheating what other strange behaviour prompted you to end things.

Punched our 8 year old because he was disturbing his gaming.

The last thing wasn't the most shocking, in fact there was nothing particularly shocking about him bringing food home and leaving it on the side for me to cook while he sat on his arse on the sofa (we both worked full time in physically demanding jobs), but it was the final straw after several years of him treating me like shit in many different ways (verbal and emotional abuse, controlling and intimidating behaviour) and a real scales falling from eyes moment. He'd punched me hard on the arm a week previous and I knew if I stayed it'd be in the face next time. So in my case it was the asparagus that broke the camel's back.

*Launched one of the big, mid-nineties sized heavy microwaves at me because I forgot to defrost his pork chops (I ducked. To this day I don't know how as I'm dyspraxic, and it went through the kitchen window, shattering the glass and bending the frame. His mum told me off for winding him up)

*Walking into the living room of my shared house at 7am, finding him shagging his (male) best mate, leaving me so dumbfounded I asked did anyone else want a cup of tea, only for him to scream at me whilst carrying on, then throwing a shoe at me

God what an arse I was. He was terribly abusive. Horrifically so. He would offer me chocolate and then smack me in the mouth if I said yes please, to the point I weighed 7 stone (I'm 5ft 8 so it was noticeable) and was always freezing cold. I can't imagine letting someone treat me like that ever again.

He told me it was a shame my children existed. That was the end for me.

My ex-h knew that I have a fair amount of allergies to various products. One day I was shocked at the huge break out I had-inflamed eyes, stinging skin etc-he merrily told me that when he'd cleaned the bathroom he couldn't be bothered to get a cloth so he'd used my face flannel. Took me weeks to stop my eyes from feeling like they were burning out of their sockets.

It’s nothing compared to some of the stories I’ve read here but I’d been sexually assaulted outside my home in broad daylight by an absolute stranger. I was terrified so I called my then bf from the police station. He was on the bus to college and started bitching and moaning at me for asking him to come back & get me. I didn’t end it then, it was 6 months later when I was to be a witness in court and he showed absolutely no emotion or support towards me. I’d had a breakdown by then, wasn’t sleeping and was agoraphobic and he hadn’t even asked me how I was. We’d been together a decade. I’d forgiven him not recognising my 18th birthday despite staying with me at the time. I’d forgiven him never saying I love you in ten years, I’d even forgiven him cheating on me with his ex but the lack of support or compassion was unforgivable. He claimed I ruined his life by dumping him 😂😂 Tit.

He bought a new car and I went with him to pick it up he was going through the paperwork and the bloke in the dealership said he still had £900 left as he had paid the deposit to which he turned round and said oh yeah moo will be paying that to which I lost it completely this was after 2 years of paying for everything we did or everywhere we went , I was having to put money into his bank because he would get his benefits and go spend them in the pub or giving back what he owed people , I was basically running two houses plus providing for my children and bailing him out . It still took me another 4 months to finish things completely with him . If I said no to going out with him on a weekend he would still go but tag onto some random woman to buy his drinks all night and take home ,he would then say it was my fault he slept with someone else because I wouldn't go to the pub.

Made me video myself having chemotherapy to prove where I was and who I was with.

God, these are grim 😢😢

Took our 5 year old daughter out of bed, woke her up and told her he was taking her away from Mummy as she was a "psycho". At 2am in the morning.
We separated 6 wks later.

Bloody hell, some horrific stories here. Massive 🙌🏼 to you ladies for getting out of those situations.

Racked up £250k gambling debts and shagged our babysitter.

I'm always quite proud of the fact that I finished with my bf when he hit me. I was very young (16) and we had been together for two years. He was five years older than me and we had quite a few arguments and when he hit me I just knew he had crossed a line and that was it even though he pleaded and begged and cried. Until he hit me, he had me exactly where he wanted me. Tosser.

Punched my jaw

My poor best friend came home to her dh hoovering in a very tight leather skirt, face full of makeup, and her high heels singing (she’s a lady) she was mortified, he said it was just a joke and he wouldn’t do it again.

She gave him another chance but she caught him sneaking fishnet tights into his backpack when he went away on business. She just couldn’t stay in the relationship after that.

dating a guy who 1) ate Mcdonalds with disgusting filthy hands 2) had a very long black coat that had gold lining 🤢

Another was into drugs and was a complete twat who bought me a Sega mega drive for my birthday and 2 weeks he later borrowed it and then sold it for E's.

Lastly one who stuck his fingers in my ears when we kissed.. Just plain weird.

He drowned my dog's pups in the bathroom. And punched my 9yr old DS.

Cheated and got her pregnant. Lied to me for an unknown number of weeks/months about it and hit me in the street the night I found out. I wish I could see the 2 passers by again who got him off me, they were so brave and I'd love to thank them. It's only with hindsight that I recognise the abuse, one time we were arguing in his parked car and he sped off knowing I didnt have my belt on yet. He slammed the breaks so I flew forward and hit the windscreen. That should have taught me a lesson about winding him up apparently (his words!).
God, I'm so glad to be rid of him!

He said "The time and attention you give that dog, you should give to me." Then stabbed my lovely dog with a 10" carving fork.
It took me a while to leave but that was the turning point. I had my ddog pts.
6 months or so later I said the words, "I don't love you anymore." I expected to be battered from head to toe, but no. Really calm. 2 weeks later he got engaged to the woman he was with abroad(worked abroad). I only found out about any of it via facebook. He never said a thing.
4 months later Bailiffs knocked the door, served me eviction papers as he had stopped paying the mortgage. So our dd and I were homeless. He said he knew nothing about it.
There is a special place in Hell for him.

But the one thing that really sticks with me which I think was the moment I realised I couldn’t stay with him was when I told him that my best friend’s girlfriend had just had a miscarriage and he laughed.

Confessed he was being blackmailed by a woman off of a cam porn website. He’d swapped phone number with her and she’d found his, and then my Facebook profile. DS was 5mo at the time. I was supporting the household and paying for everything as he couldn’t afford to due to previous debts. But turned out he had enough money to pay for online live porn. Kicked him out the following week.
