When do you think we'll actually be able to buy flour and yeast again?

I didn't stockpile. I wish I had now! Can't find it anywhere!
Has anyone found any?

You could try local restaurant suppliers. Yesterday I picked up some 1.5kg bags of plain and bread flour from a local wholesaler, they're having no problems getting it atm apparently

I make bread and ordered a big box of 24 sachets in January. Which would do me 2-3 weeks normally.
My husband thought I'd asked him to do it and also ordered 24. I was frustrated when I realised but we've been able to give away lots to family so it was a welcome error.
It's also been easier to buy bread as flour is still scarce.

Try the Coop - I couldn't get any delivered but local Coop had some in

pigoons · 30/04/2020 16:48

I got some fresh yeast and flour from a local bakery

Waxonwaxoff0 · 30/04/2020 17:42

Our local Asda has started bagging up the flour they use in the bakery and selling it that way.

I got self raising at Aldi last week.

BearSoFair · 30/04/2020 18:43

I managed to get plain flour in Sainsburys on Tuesday, first time in about 6 weeks! No sign of any self raising though.

wowsaidtheowl · 30/04/2020 19:48

There is lots of yeast available on Amazon if you’re happy to buy 500g.

okiedokieme · 30/04/2020 19:54

Lidl had yeast back in stock this week . Morrison's has bread flour

kingis · 30/04/2020 19:56

We have been trying to get flour for a while now. We run out of and only place I could get flour was Amazon. Now we have 16kg sack of it.

SpeckledyHen · 30/04/2020 19:57

Waitrose has had flour every week . Not the whole range , but an assortment.

TwoZeroTwoZero · 30/04/2020 20:02

I bought some plain flour from the Co-Op today. It's the first time I've seen any for weeks!

MulticolourMophead · 30/04/2020 20:04

My local Aldi has had plain and SR flour for a week or so now. I'm still trying to find yeast locally so may need to find some online or start a sourdough mix.

480Widdio · 30/04/2020 20:09

I am in the Midlands, our local bakery has yeast and a local farm shop has all sorts of flour.I got bread flour in my Waitrose delivery last week.

anotherBadAvatar · 30/04/2020 20:11

Just got a 16kg bag from our butchers yesterday for a bargain of £15. Local bakers also selling off 16kg bags. Seems to be in stock on Ocado too, but limit of 2 bags per order

Nomorewineever · 30/04/2020 20:13

All kinds of flour (plain, self raising and bread) and dried yeast tins and sachets in our Waitrose today this afternoon (uttoxeter)

wannabeadored · 30/04/2020 20:17

My local Morrison's had yeast in the fridge bit beside the butter. They also had plenty of sachets of yeast . I bought an additional few packs to give to someone at work that can't get to Morrison's .

WickedGoodDoge · 30/04/2020 20:41

My beautiful 16kg bag of self raising arrived today. Grin

When do you think we'll actually be able to buy flour and yeast again?
Sparticle · 30/04/2020 21:01

@anotherBadAvatar my 16kg bags of strong flour were only £6.50 Confused I’m in the north west and bought it from a catering supplier who is currently selling to retail customers so perhaps that’s it was so much cheaper!

Sparticle · 30/04/2020 21:01

*that’s why it was

MilkRunningOutAgain · 30/04/2020 21:09

Waitrose had some strong plain flour last week so my DD has been making bread and late hot cross buns. We had some dried yeast already. Hopefully they will have some more tomorrow.

wanderlove · 30/04/2020 22:19

I haven't been able to get any then today on my ASDA app you could get it all! I've put it in my basket but not sure what will actually arrive on Saturday
